Default Can anyone help me with the audio volumes sporadically changing themselves?!?

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT SINCE THE PHONE CAME OUT, EVER SINCE I ROOTED IT, THE SYSTEM VOLUME, THE MEDIA VOLUME, AND ESPECIALLY THE VOICE CALL VOLUME CHANGE ON THEIR OWN!

the voice call volume is just set to full blast every time i make or receive a phone call, no matter how many times i set it lower

the system volume changes randomly, along with the media, which isn't THAT big of a deal, but still, wtf?

i've been through two different phones, restarted, cleared caches, switched roms, downloaded audio managers, removed audio managers, I CAN'T FIGURE THIS **** OUT, SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE!

What rom are you on currently? Does it have the quick settings in the status bar?

Every rom I've been on with the quick settings had the volume setting in there. I would occasionally use that to set the volume, and didn't initially realize that if you tap the icon for the volume it changed the volume type. I kept accidentally only changing media volume instead of ringer volume for instance, bc I saw it say "Ringer" once and didn't bother actually reading how it was labeled after that.

So before I realized it, I would have been describing the same issue you described, although yours sounds more serious.

right now i have the Viper4g rom, i had the charmeleon rom before that, and the regular viper rom before that, and stock rooted before that, ever since i rooted it it's been doing this no matter how many times i restarted and wiped the phone, even after i got a new phone

Same route I've taken, except now on flex's stock w/ goodies. All have that same volume shortcut in the status bar quick settings, which was initially causing my problems, only bc I didn't realize what I was doing.

Try flex's Rom, or mean Rom. The viper, charmeleon, venom are all pretty closely related, maybe it's something that's carried over?

Do you do cache and system wipes each time?
