Have you tried resetting Wallet from within the app? In the most recent version of Wallet it is Settings>Change Account. Older versions may have been something else, I can't remember. The way I understand it, this will remove all the Wallet account info from your phone and unlink your phone from Wallet. Then clear cache and data for wallet in your app manager and uninstall wallet. Then try the Wallet Installer again and set up wallet just like abe.froman said. I think other people have had to do this. Good luck!
