Hello,
I am a new user of this fine forum and i have found help here alot already.

My N7100 international version shows Official in all the 3 columns, which is fine, but when i boot into android and check the device info menu it still says device status modified. Does this actually affect the warranty ? Or does Samsung/their service partners only check whats shown at odin mode ?

Thanks for your replies in advance,

Greetings from Germany

Hello,
So I have followed the procedure and the results are still the same for me.

Su binary = custom
(Forgot what it is) = custom
System status = modified

May I know which stock rom should I have in order for this to work?

It works on any stock rom, provided you don't have flash counter non zero.
Check download mode and input complete details.

Hey Ketan,

I am on stock 4.1.2 ROM with latest updates (MC3). I rooted my phone using chainfire method and did triangle away but still i am having system status as modified. I tried clearing the data for Enterprise Sysscope service but it showed data as 0 bytes with clear data button disabled. Also the sysscope app is not there in my phone.

When i go to download mode, i get following info :

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: GT-N7100
CUSTOM BINARY: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom

Please help!

UPDATE:

When i check flash counter, its coming as 1 everytime even though I have stock recovery

UPDATE:
Found a way to resolve it. After rooting, do a triangle away and then wipe your data (Factory Reset) and done. No problem after that. Just remember, Do not use triangle away again, because on Note 2 it flashes a custom kernel before it shows you the status which resets the status again to Modified.

After you do triangle away and factory reset, go to download mode and check. Everything will be in official status.

This works perfect for me now.
Device status still showed modified/custom because device was still rooted, even though having stock rom.
When current and custom binary are fine (no and samsung official), then just goto settings, save and restore, reset device.
This will delete all data on the device. When you're done, it will say normal in settings.
Gave poster a thanks for this
