[Q] Help! Messaging App Missing Status bar Notifications...!

I'm having a problem with the stock messaging app.
It does not show the message notifications many a times. New messages can be seen in the app though.
Go sms notifications still working.
I've checked all the settings but they seem all right.

Found the problem.
Go sms was suppressing the system notifications.

I have the same problem now... I dont know which app is responsible for this. I dont have Go SMS installed.
My current message count is 4700. Not sure if that causes the issue though
