This guide http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 offers a sim unlock solution that will lead to non working GSM on non-sense based ROM. Is there any way to sim unlock without this consequences?
Let me make this clear for you. It's not the method which makes GSM not work on non-sense roms. After the phone is unlocked our cmda phone needs some extra files which are included only in sense roms in order to have gsm. Unfortunately there aren't any google play sprint phones, so all the non-sense roms are PORTS, which means the are not intended for cmda phones, it's the devs who modify them. Mostly the devs try to have cmda working (this is the primary purpouse of this phone), not gsm. There are actually some cm roms wich work with gsm I think
