WHY is the text messaging app called "Text messaging" (which doesn't fit on the dock!) rather than "Messages" like in the promo screenshots?

There is mine.

I like to keep it as simple as possible.

Right on right side of GMail icon I have a group of all my instant message apps (GTalk, WhatsApp, Facebook messenger, Google+ Messenger and SMS) and on the second group I have Phone and People.

How did you get rid of the carrier banner in the top left of the notification bar?

I actually haven't done anything, mine never had it.

I'm from Brazil tho, maybe my carrier don't put it on or made any kind of modification to remove it.

Ahhh lucky. I have the freaking unbranded sim unlocked RAZR i and I still have the stupid carrier banner.

No idea. Get Desktop VisualizeR off the play store and you can create a new shortcut with same icon and call it what you want or as I have done, have no text at all to tidy up your launch bar.

I don't dare to root it after what happened with my DHD, but i think i made the most of it.
Couldn't stand the Circles-Widget for a single day, even if it had been useful.

I have been through a few phones and tablets, and I think this is the first one where I have not felt the need to replace the stock launcher and many bundled apps. Congratulations to Motorola for keeping this phone close to the stock Android experience.

Of course there are few things I would like to see improved, like having more lines on the homescreen, custom icons especially to replace the ugly stock folder icons, lockable homescreen layout, and auto-hiding navigation bar like on the Kindle Fire HD. But the clock/weather/battery widget is nice enough to make overlook those, and stay with the stock launcher.

Anyway, here is what I did: got rid of the bottom navigation bar for more screen estate in all apps, by editing /system/build.prop and adding the line qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 (save and reboot for the change to take effect, but make sure to install an alternative navigation bar first). I also froze the Google Search app with Titanium Backup, as I have no need for it and Google Now, and I definitely do not want it on my homescreen:

Replaced the bottom icons with pretty folders using SiMi Folder shortcuts, not widgets (old but still the best):

Replaced the navigation bar with the fantastic LMT Launcher, configured with the pie showing at the bottom of the screen, and only 4 basic navigation buttons (I found with 5 buttons, I was too often accidently activating the middle one):

Ok, new rule: post your Screenshot AND what apps/widgets/launchers/etc.. you are using.
There are a LOT of screenies I like but some I have no idea what apps they're using.

    Here's mine:

    -Desktop Visualizer, for the pic.
-Zooper Widget Free, for the clock/weather.
-Anton's Calendar Widget, for the calendar
-Disabled bottom action bar, using LMT as replacement.

    :)
