Here's my question... Is my phone bricked at all?

Night before last, my phone died. I plugged it in as usual, and as usual, the charge light light for a few moments with the light in the track pad. Then the track pad light went out, and a brief second later, the charge light followed. This happened many times before, and I believe it has something to do with CWM recovery not allowing it to charge in a off state (per something I read somewhere). So I tried to start it booting before plugging the charge cord in as usual. But for some reason... it wouldn't start to boot at all! I tried to get it to boot several times, and then I noticed that the light in the track pad would just light up for a few seconds then go off.

So I decided to do a quick googl'ing, and one thing I found said that that meant it was bricked - but another said that CWM wouldn't allow charging. So I'm thinking maybe the battery's just too low of charge! Either way, I'm not sure, and I figured this would be as good a place to ask as any.

The really odd thing, is that I haven't made any changes to the device (other than adding games) in several days. I had MikXE (I think) a couple of weeks before, and decided to run VI for a spin. Tried turning Barnacle Wi-Fi tether on, and that got me stuck in a boot loop. So I fully wiped and re-flashed VI. Everything was going fine, and I wanted to get all of it to match my preferences before doing a backup. Then - kaput!

So, if anyone can advise me as to the actual condition of the device, I'd be grateful! If it is bricked, advise to getting it going again is always appreciated! I just finished buying this from a friend, so I'd REALLY prefer not to have to replace it already.

Thanks!

Start by buying an external charger or a new battery or both. You can get an anker battery with external charger for around 15$ on ebay. Hope its that and not more

Yeah. I already ordered a cheapo charger with 2 batteries from Amazon. Some off brand... don't really plan on using the batteries much, but they could be handy at some point. Anyway, we'll see where it's at when they arrive. I'm just more concerned/curious about the meaning of the trackpad light.

So, I got my phone to turn back on last night. I was also able to power down and back up (to insert SIM) without trouble. So... I'm really not sure what that little red light means now... :s But I think that it's safe to say, for anyone looking in the future, that the little red light behind the track pad - DOES NOT - mean you phone is bricked. It could mean just about anything, but from this, we can be fairly sure that it doesn't indicate brick.

EDIT: ... doesn't EXCLUSIVELY indicate brick.

It isn't the ONLY thing it means Kyle but if you brick that phone you WILL see the trackpad light.

Ok. So it is one of the possible indicators of a brick (being that you get trackpad light and no other life)...? Anything else that it means that anyone knows of?

I've seen it several times over the past year but just briefly. Seems like one is after a battery pull. Unfortunately, the only one that made a lasting impression on me was when it was telling me I had a BEAUTIFUL paperweight. LOL

Edit: You'll also see it after a power, volume down, trackpad pressed reboot.
