Addition to your tip, you can use samsung i780 3g dialer from Nadavi.

For the CHS + JK (Japan/Korean), you need to get the correct wince.nls together with the fonts.

Refer to the following website and you will get an idea on how to bundle them in your ROM.

The Ouson CJK package contained a very nice fonts but after installed your keyboard will stop working, need to tinker with the .cab to modify it properly.

I use ce-star R3c no problem at all!!

If you have problem of keyboard display in 96dpi mode please reinstall your CE-star in 96dpi mode then all problem solve even you switch back to 128dpi mode

I just figure out you don't need do this just for big dialer.
Just edit registry and reset.

HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin
"Enabled"=0

but it's without video call button.

@EFN.. just a suggestion if you could include some additional usefull apps (freeware) in the cooked ROM:

Pocket RAR (http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm)
Opera 9.5 b1 (or newest available build @XDA and remove the obsolete 8.65 version)

Thanks for your support, but I am in a limbo now trying to figure out how to make this rom CHS compliant. But there's hope as posted by garytanyh above. Why don't u try his method and see how it goes. I never worked on CHS before so it may take a very long time for me to work out anything useful.

Another good news is, Vibranze will be working on my rom using his kitchen and perhaps he will be more well versed with CHS integration. Watch out for rom release from him (if he plan to cook one)

Will do. I am working on them now. But new rom means reflashing all over again LOL! (isn't that we've always been doin here

)

As you've added a backup application in the cooked ROM it's now much easier to flash and then restore stuff

Hey buddy, for the HTC Home, please unrar the files into your i780 \Windows. Those are two mui files that's supposed to work on German locale.

As for the keyboard, mind telling me how to test German keyboard? I have downloaded a few German input and dunno how to test them after installed. Do you mean the software keyboard or the hardware ones?

does anyone have video call problem with this rom?
mine is always show blank line on the menu so could not select video call function.

That would happen sometimes using RealVGA. I suggest you open RealVGA and enable Phone Skin because disabling phone skin will make Video Call button missing.

I am using Nadavi 3G Dialer Skin and VC works perfectly.

i found a bug:

when i take an o and the press the aü key bevor i falsh this rom it swith to ö and now it comes a ò then ó then ô then o~ then ö

I try to follow your step and install chinese star. But machine is crash. Now I go back to install Studiokuma but it only work for read chinese but can't write it. Can help to solve it?

i tried to change incoming call ringtone but on many of them it say they are corrupted or missing..

anybody with this issue?

that's not bug, just edit sym.0409.txt and change letters
