Nvm I got that one now but I feel the file im looking for is the "mode" file which I cannot copy or open no matter what permissions I use. At first I thought it would be the trigger file. Using common sence ud deduct that the scripts that would trigger the leds wluld be in that file but they are not so it must be mode any ideas on how to open or copy this file?

All i did is open the file with text editor in root explorer and changed the values. i have absolutely no idea what any of the other files do in that part of the system, i just kinda stumbled across this by accident!

This would be perfect if able to change the color . . . . . . .
I know, it can't . . . . . . unless change the LED instead. . . . . . . .

If you want an app just search play store for "illumination bar notification"
Also you could mod the software, search the themes&Apps section for what files to edit for your phone.

EDIT: so for dumb-ass reply about looking for the app, that this thread is about. I didn't check what thread I was posting in.

Default Re: Illumination Bar

There should be a file controlling the electrical current for the bar.
This is from my notification led brightness control init.d file

echo 17000 > /sys/class/leds/green/max_current

If I echo zero, the leds will not light
I have the Ion so I dont have bar but I can control the capacitive button leds. So you should be able to control bar.
You will need to be de-odexed with support for init.d boot scripts.
You can test values by direct editing of the max_current value in file and save. It will reset on next boot without init.d
