So i can use it now with v0.5.1 ? yes i agree it was a huge change from v0.4 to v0.5.1 . I would like to test If you tell me the process to follow or is it the same as previous one only ? . Does it have reboot option to selected Rom ? Like if i select a rom and want to reboot into it does it goes directly into that ? OR do i have to select the Rom from bootmenu ?


Apparently can you add option to reboot into recovery of virtual system of selected virtual rom ? So that we can directly get inside the recovery widout having trouble to select options from bootmenu ? It would be a nice addon if you can :)

Currently, the multiboot-mod doesn't support directly into a virtual system.
This will come in future-versions.

I would kindly suggest to clean up info in first post :
(there are some not to date hints i.e. : "... will break the functionality of my app. To restore it you will need to flash mk41aa's MultiBoot 0.4 again.")
And even more in "About" menu, specially in "What is this?" and "How to use this?"

Multiboot Not active

Wonder why I am getting a message in the bottom [MULTI BOOT NOT ACTIVE] .. i'm able to manage the VFS through the software . I tried installing MS2Ginger 4.0 beta on to the virtual system but it was not booting up.. ??? :confused:

MBM it's only interface for real worker - multiboot.zip from m11kkaa. MBM shows state of multiboot and help to prepare VFS's. As long you are in real ROM there multiboot IS NOT ACTIVE. When you install virtual ROM and boot to it, install MBM and then you will see so it IS ACTIVE, because MBM shows state of m11kkaa's multiboot.
In actual version of multiboot_v0.5.1.zip there is bug which prevent to boot into new ROM if VFS of this ROM (in /multiboot folder) has to long name (longer than 8 or 9 chars and there should be no spaces between chars). If your VFS has name i.e. "MS2Ginger 4.0 beta" then after booting to this ROM you will see only twice red lamp and then you will return to bootmenu. Check name...

reboot "bootmenu recovery"
reboot "bootmenu shell"
...

bootmenu v1.1.8 will fix 2nd-system choice, and new roms will support upgrade on main rom (keeping 2nd-system scripts and the multiboot binary)

Cool.. Waiting for it... What about kernel incompatability issues? Any fixes possible?

The string attatchment in OP is bad.
The one from post is good but in Italian..

Edit: Did the less lazy way. Depacked the apk and translated into Dutch(nl)
Didn't translate the about page. Please tell if it needs to.

An idea for the next version.
On first run of the app, an option to flash the multiboot zip (Download it and next flash it like CWM app would)

Would it be possible to choose a zip(ROM), the phone reboots to the right recovery and flashes the zip into the virtual FS. (probably there will need to be changes in the bootmenu) Flashing it without the reboot would also be possible but not needed. ^^
