[Q] S4 Dropped in Pool - need help
My wife dropped her phone in the pool the other day. We are well versed in the removal of batteries, etc. What she did do wrong was after 2 hours in rice try to power it up. I think that was her big mistake.
Anyway, fast forward a week, and after screaming about how she is not to touch it I had it in Damp Rid drying out. It came right back on after 2 days in the airtight container, but the speaker was making some static noises. I bought a replacement speaker, but that didnt work.
Anyway, she can deal with that. The main thing I need help with is the menu and back buttons no longer work. They dont light up or anything. I know with an iphone, you can use activator to map out the home button to a different place or button if it stops working. I was wondering if there is any way to do something like that on here? I know she can live without a back button, but that menu button has some things that are necessary at times.
I took it semi-apart and gave it a 91% isopropyl bath, but that didndt seem to change anything either. I watched a few videos trying to determine where the controller for those buttons live, but couldnt find out.
Any help would be appreciated.
