SetupWizard has stopped working...
This on a ST15i with unlocked bootloader.
I've tried selecting selecting Facebook in Aroma Installer and the second time deselecting it.
Third time I tried changing in the .zip installer setupwizard.apk with another one (from realics lite r4). Everytime I got the same answer : setup wizard has stopped working.
Anyway from what I've seen the new font for clock in lockscreen looks great !!! That's good...
But there is no option to remove walkman logo from lockscreen. That's bad...
Thanks anyway. Maybe you will fix these problems. And not like in RealICS 5.2 (where we must select facebook in aroma). That would be great.

Real ICS r6b1 ! Great ROM !

Hi buddies,

Thank you very much for this update. Very beautiful and smooth Custom ROM ! :good:

I'm currently testing this last r6b1, with RAGE Kernel 3.2 in a ST15i. Just wiping Dalvik Cache and Cache, and formatting /system before installing from a previous r5.2. No problem at all encountered. :highfive:

- The tabbed Quick Panel with Notifications / Quick Panel / Recent Apps is just awesome.
- New icons set, scrolling animation are very cool.

I don't know if it's a feature or a bug, but when playing music with Walkman, the lockscreen does not show the album artwork like before. It displays only the controls and the song title. Personally, I like watching the covers with lockscreen, because they are bigger than inside the Walkman UI, and it's cooler than text. :p

It looks to me as if the sound level is very high, more than before. At step 1/30 with my headphones, it's already too high... I fear to hurt my ears if I listen for a too long period... A standalone patch for increasing the volume step would be very nice. :eek:

Edit 1 : for each pressure on the volume keys, some messages in system log appeared (but the volume increases or decreases well) :

Edit 2 : After creating my own custom framework.jar with volume step at 50, it does not change anything. I have well the 50 steps in media volume, but the sound level is still high at 1/50 because it's not progressive / proportional... :eek:
I have to find a way to modify the gain...

I found a mistake in r6 beta1 sms sound is very quiet in the notification message. Or change a coverage rate of no more visible clock and left me in white.

Setup wizard has stopped working, cant test the rom :(
tried various workaround but still no luck so, installed back 5.2 worked on setup wiz and flashed r6b1 wiped only cached and dalvik

My blutooth dont i tried a other blutooth apps via root explorer but its useless
The before lockscreen its amazing,but the new not

Try to flash the ROM by your way, but I have no luck...... Setup Wizard stoped and black screen only........

I am on XMP SK17i. I used the r5.2 with facebook checked in aroma installer, then I wiped dalvik--> wipe cache --> format system --> then flash the r6 with facebook checked also.... But Setup wizard was stopped..... Home launcher did not launch.....

Do you have any suggestion?

Yeah, maybe : just before playing the same protocol, freeze Setup Wizard (with Titanium Backup or something else) in your functional r5.2. :fingers-crossed:

HOWTO : Migrating from r5.2 to r6b1, without losing data / settings :

It worked for me : SE Xperia Mini ST15i, Test Point Unlocked BL, RAGE Kernel 3.2.

Prerequisites :
- Rooted and functional Real ICS r5.2, Custom Kernel and ramdisk with CWM.

Protocol :
- Freeze Setup Wizard (Titanium Backup or another app)
- Reboot to Recovery Mode
- Wipe Cache (CWM)
- Wipe Dalvik Cache (CWM)
- Format System (CWM)
- Install ZIP from SDCard (CWM) -> Aroma Installer will start.
- Uncheck Wipe Cache (Aroma Installer)
- Uncheck Wipe UserData (Aroma Installer)

Notes :
- With Setup Wizard in a saved freezed state from the previous installation, there is no need to check the Facebook apps option : Setup Wizard will not start anymore after the first boot. :D
- With the wipes and format from CWM, no need to check the Wipe Cache in Aroma. Logical ! ;)

Feedback about r6b1, after some times of use

1) Google Play Blue Black Edition : Okay, dark is cool. But in the tab My Apps > Installed, in the three section headers Updates / Manual Updates / Up to date, the foreground label color is white on a clear gray background. It's almost about 98% unreadable... Not so much annoying because we can always guess what it's written... but perfectible.

2) The font used to display the time on the lock-screen is awful... It does not match with the rest (icons, backgrounds etc.) which are more High-Tech oriented.

3) Lock-screen : Having the possibilities to choose between :
- Slider / Wave,
- Walkman Logo / No Logo,
- Album Artwork / No Album Artwork (when playing music with Walkman),

would be great.

4) Service Menu app : Having this optionally in Aroma Installer would be nice. But please, don't remove this app, like in the Lite release of Real ICS. It's very useful for testing hardware after a firmware flash and also very convenient for calibrating the compass.

5) Modded Walkman v7 is very nice, but v8 even more. :D

6) I see that you keep (svox) Pico TTS engine : Nice !!! In Real ICS r5.2 it was removed and I had to import it from a stock 431 ROM in order to avoid some FC errors when launching some apps which require it. Thanks for keeping Pico TTS engine in Real ICS r6, or for making it optional in Aroma.


In any case, thank you very much for your great work. :good: :victory:

Hey Kobzar666 Can you please make a version with semi transparent Menus Dialer etc. like in Lasan's Hyouka XS...??
Your Rom is no doubt amazing. But I really liked that feature from Hyouka XS and it looks awesome too...

    Installation instructions​
    1. Copy the zip file to your SD card
    2. Reboot your device in CWM
    3. Make a full data wipe-factory reset
    4. Wipe cache and Dalvik cache
    5. Choose install zip from sd card
    6. Wait for installation to finish, reboot and follow the sony setup wizard through the rest of the setup process
    7. Reboot again and enjoy!

    I was confused because stanlin Salou used almost all from my ROM (even from beta version of Xperia Ultimate) in his OctanEv and I wanted to stop developming. but later I decided to do something new and created Xperia Ultimate (it will be released very soon). After that I will update Real ICS.
