Hi
Go into recovery and clear cache if it's still playing around with you, make a nandroid backup and make a full wipe (factory reset) then reinstall the rom that you just make a back up from. A full wipe won't erase your sd card. I would prefer to do a full wipe right away;)

Cheers, do you mean Dalvik cache or in recovery there's another option to clear "Cache Partition" I think it said?

I haven't really got the time to faff about reinstalling ROMs at the moment.

Never do a factory reset on a costom Rom. If you have done it, you usually have to flash the Rom again and have to do a clean new installation too.

The slow down and sense restarts you noticed possibly are coming from to low available RAM. I guess, you simply have to much apps installed which are running in the background and consuming RAM and CPU time. Install a taskmanager to see what's running (but please, don't use it to kill tasks...). Then uninstall what you don't need. After that, boot to recovery, whipe dalvik-cache and reboot. If this doesn't help, I recommend a fresh flash of the Rom.

Ta - I won't do a factory reset, I thought it could be dangerous!

I've deleted a few apps that I don't need any more, I've got ES Taskmanager and it showed Battery Monitor & 3G Watchdog were using a few MB between them, I don't need them anymore so they've gone.

It's a bit quicker now but I still noticed sense restarted itself after I'd been on a flash heavy website loading a map up.

If I'm bored in a few weeks I might reinstall the ROM but for now it's a bit quicker than it was so happy-ish.

If there are any other quick fixes I'd be interested.

Cheers for the replies.

hboot and radio

hi guys,
I am getting a one x soon and will be giving my desire to the misses. Currently I have aio 6.1.1 running but I want to put leedroid on for her. So I have 1gb ext4 and cm7 r2 hboot. when I flashed leedroid it hung on the splash screen. I done a full wipe. Do I need to change the hboot to stock? or is it to do with the radio?

wee help

Hi Guys, I feel silly asking this. I´ve been flashing for ages now and I´m stuck with this ROM. I have ext4 1gb, I now know this has to be ext3. I tried flashing the stock sense hboot but I think this has to be stock? So I´m getting a bit confused of the order and how to do this?
Can someone explain a simple way to do all this.
Thanks

Lee stopped developing for the Desire a long time ago. The radio you have is the latest.

I'd you guys are setting up your Desire to give away and do not want the dreaded low storage issues, I suggest a newer ROM with a newer hboot, etc. You can also try different scripts for storage solutions.

But, for your question on radios, 5.17.05.23 works fine with this ROM. Towards the end Lee used desire HD screenshots for his ROM, so I wouldn't go off of screen shots for a recommended radio.

I'd also like to know that! I've been looking for an alternative, especially because my HTC simply won't work with AlphaREV and I've only been able to root it. It's not S-OFF and I won't try any "brute force" alternatives since I don't want to brick it.

Would anyone know of a good alternative to LeeDroid that is also based on the stock sense and designed for Desire?

Thanks!

you need to fulfil all the prerequesites listed on the alpharev page for it to work.

or use revolutionary to s-off, much easier, again follow all the guides available. there are no brute force alternatives, just follow the instructions and you'll be fine ;)

this leedroid rom was always pretty solid when i used it ages ago. the HD port was also quite good. there are other sense roms available, heard good things about droidzone though never tried it. whichever rom you decide (sense or non-sense), just try a few and see for yourself what you like. some are better with s-off and different hboot to maximise space.

always nandroid backup before trying anything...

    LeeDrOiD FAQ

    LeeDrOiD FAQ

    Flashing!
    • Use either Amon RA or clockworkmod Recovery < also available via rom manager from the market.
    • if you want A2SD+ Ensure your SD Card is Partitioned with FAT32 & an EXT3 partition
    • Nandroid Backup
    • Full wipe Only required if coming from a non Froyo rom (but always recommended)
    • Flash Rom (you may need to toggle signature verifacation)
    • Flash Radio (unless you already have it)
    • Reboot (this may take a few mins on the initial boot)
    • Optional Flash your chosen theme

    A2SD+
    • Moves apps & Dalvik cahche to your SD card
    • Lots of free internal memory!
    • You will be required to format you SD card with 2 partitions as laid out below

Partitioning your SD Card ready for A2SD+
    • Backup all data on you SD card (this will be wiped)
    • The card should be formatted with your standard FAT32 partition 1st followed by an EXT2/3 partition (I would recommend 512mb, EXT4 is also supported but may shorten the life of you SD card)
    • Linux users use GParted or a similar software.
    • For everyone else I would recommend using Rom Manager
    • Once you have downloaded ROM manager from the market, open the app and click partition SD Card, Select your EXT size and set 0mb for swap
    • Restore your data to your SD and the job is done.

    FrOyO A2SD
    • Moves apps to your Fat32 partition (SD)
    • No EXT partition is required
    • Use "Mod Install Location" (included) to change you default install location.
    • please note, not all applications support direct install to your SD, you can install these and then move them via Sttings > Applications > Manage Applications

    Possible issues and solutions
    • Maps does not show as installed in the market > go to Setting > Applications > all > and clear data & cache in market.
    • I Cant update some of the preinstalled apps even though they are in /data Remove them via Settings > applications, then install them from the market.
    • No mobile internet > go to Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > APN then clear defaults, if your settings dont install just enter them manually
    • I cant see some of the applications that come with the rom >If these are supposed to be included in the rom but do not show up, Try a full wipe
    • I have lost my clockwork recovery update.zip from my sd > Here it is,just drop it on your SD.

    Ok guys, quick update...

2.2g is almost ready.. but, as usual, in our efforts to make things truly awesome! There is additional work to be done, I.e camera chip patch and a car kit issue to sort.

Snq- is working on the kernel and the require patches have been applied to the 2.29 build.

Sorry to delay things but we don't like "half baked" builds ;) looking towards a Sunday release :D
