only difference is the ram so more apps can run and lte which u dont need u said. i have the i9300 and i think its the best phone for its time so much support modding wise. im pretty sure the i9305 has less mods and support. id suggest the i9300 u wont lag out anyway there are apps that maintenance the task running and kills them according to ur ram and stuff. like android tuner for example. but b4 u buy ether search up there roms/mods to see which u would rather. i prefer stock samsung rom with root. so maybe if u want that the i9305 would be better if theres less roms for that device. but ether phone would make u happy.

Easy, buy the i9305. i9300 is pretty much a low end device with 1 GB RAM - even the S4 mini has 1.5 GB. You can still keep up with most other phones today if you get the 2GB model, as the RAM is the biggest bottleneck of most devices. You probably don't even have to mod the i9305 to get good performance, while the i9300 is still laggy even with mods.
I'm happy with 9300 and my friend also asked the same and I suggested him 9300,because it was pretty enough,so he bought one and is also happy and satisfied now.
But meh,maybe 9305 is better,so I think here,I will also suggest you to buy the 9305 one.

In theory KitKat is less demanding on the devices if i understand it correctly, but the phone manufacturers have a bad habit of adding their own UIs and a lot of extras/bloat that slow down the phones. :/

Yes. Kitkat won't consume less RAM. Optimization will be accepted only for low-end devices.

Less ram consumption is core feature of kitkat. The amount of free ram will be same but under heavy multitasking the amount of ram will be lesswhich is achieved with project svelte.
yeah more RAM is better ofc, but i heard i9305 has less battery life and less camera and sms feauters , someone also said that the camera quailty is better on i9300

yeah but if you look at reviews on youtube you can see that it doesnt have some options that i9300 camera has, one of those options is e.g. you cant change ISO on i9305
and that makes me think that perhaps it has a not as good camera as i9300 has 
I know that i9305 has 1GB more of RAM and has LTE but im confused about developer support. Everyone says that it has almost none developer support. Does that mean that even Samsung wont develope new updates and it will have less features than i9300, or it means that it wont have as much custom ROMs as i9300 has ?
If i9305 has the same updates and the same features that come with those as i9300, then ill go for i9305 for sure
And BTW i dont need LTE
