For those who have returned theirs to Google, did you keep your charger? they never listed it specifically and i know with phone returns you keep it, but this is different. if anyone can answer that id be very grateful
It doesn't do it on everyone else's. Mine is perfect with no screen lifting or creaking of any kind.

Google Support - Preparing an item for returnPack the device and its in-box items in the original box. Include all items from your original shipment, including devices, accessories, packaging and documentation. But do not send us your additions, for instance your SIM card, a case or an extended battery and battery cover door.

Okay so I contacted Asus and they said that I should contact the shop that I got it from, which is Tesco Online.
however, would I still be able to get it replaced by google?
Okay thanks. The main issue with that is that i purchased it from the online store, so I dont know if i can take it to my local store. Whats worse is Tesco dont have an email customer help service
Is anyone else able to reproduce the screen flicker issue?

I havent even had a chance to send back my first one yet as they did not include a postage label, so I will probably have 3 Nexus 7's. What a shambles.
If you have it back to ASUS, that's at your expense. ASUS wants to punish the customer for their incompetence.
It doesn't do it on everyone else's. Mine is perfect with no screen lifting or creaking of any kind. The reason you see so many complaints of this is because 1. This is a defect thread and 2. Most people making post are one who are having problems with their device. If its creaking when you hold it a certain way then it is definitely defective. Unless you want to "just live with it" then I would suggest you send it in for a new one.

I have a theory too, nothing in life is perfect, or pristine. Even the hottest super model gets a pimple on her ass from time to time, and I wouldn't ship her off just because of a blemish. No company makes a perfect product, and people, due to an irrational OCD with electronics want it 100% perfect, and as long as people are assembling these products, there will be imperfections. The sad part is, the vast majority of the things people return electronics for do not impact the use of the product, and are barely visable to the naked eye. We love to put everything under a microscope, though. Gotta have something to freak out about, I suppose.
My screen doesn't lift but I'm noticing a little creaking on the left side. It only happens really when I squeeze the tablet which I normally wouldn't do. Am I being picky thinking about returning it or should I be happy my screen is level and just live with it?
Excellent device but mine isn't flush on the right side of the screen. (Portrait)
After a few hours of use it's starting to pop if you press midway on the bezel.
all those sold by the play store were recalled from their shipping hubs due to ASUS's defects. Hence the delay. When we receive our devices, they should be defect free.
