Cyanogen / MIK CM7 black screen bug was enough for me to stop using it. Sure it may be fast but I prefer stability in a mobile phone. This AGA-ROM is the best out of the 'standard' ROM developments on here, in my opinion :) Battery life has been two days with average use.

More misinformation.

Miks 6.6.x + .35 kernel = blackscreen bug

Miks 6.5.x + francos 19.4 or fserves goldenleaf or Zacks Venice 3.4 = no blackscreen bug.

Arrrggghhh!

Thanks for all interesting information and a full-of-knowledge debate (I reached my thanks limit today so I'll come back and hit thank button tomorrow, lol).

Yep I think I'll give AGA a try first (for it won't require additional step of flashing old baseband). Then maybe a non stock based rom like CM7 later. Moreover, fserve's golden leaf has solved the CM7's infamous black screen issue (to correct someone above)

However, please correct me if i'm wrong, I've seen ppl in this thread using combo of AGA + franco kernel and they seemed to get really good result, both battery and performnace. So I think it's better using FK with this ROM, right?

READ THE STICKIES

fserves kernel is based on .32 kernel it's not designed for this rom!

If people are experiencing a blackscreen issue with this rom I'll bet dollars to donuts that it's related to the CRT and egl tweaks.

I'm done.... this is too much.

oh sorry my bad. I was confusing between official and non-official. Now cleared.
Official means stock and all ROM based on stock, while Non-official means CM7
And kernel 32 goes with non-official while 35 goes with the other
haizz!
lol

but wait, in my question, i say franco kernel, not fserve kernel. I know golden leaf is not for 2.3.3 rom

U shoul know that .35 in optimus one sucks to the max... Only with higher neocore scores but damn it, is freaking LAGGY! So cm7 v6.5.7 + goldenleaf smartassv2, u will have ur phone in GAMING mode... Want RAM boost, look into my thread or go for zeppelinrox's supercharger update 9 beta 4.1

@ ginco95, good rom... Tested few days ago, but aalot of superuser error, not perfect for everyday use for me... Btw, nice job... Suggestion... Update busybox to 1.19.2 and Superuser v3.0-beta4... And also add scripts to boost it up... ;)

@ danielnguyenvu - As far as which kernel is better. It depends on you, Paulo v5 notouch is butter smooth with respect to the touchscreen effects. This is because the CPU jumps to 100% when the screen is touched, this is what leads to poor battery life. It also includes a magazine routine that removes the camera flicker issue up to 729Mhz.

Francos kernel is faster and gets better battery life but may feel more "laggy" due to mods made to the drivers which prevent the CPU spike. I haven't tested the camera with it so I can't comment.
Read the threads for more details but I think that about sums it up.

It's the old adage, "engineering is a compromise"

I'm off to bed, word of advice use the search button before posting questions that have already been discussed.

ginco, thanks for the hardwork.
My suggestion: can you make this rom a bit more themed? transparent notif bar or something... If you dont know where to find inspiration, i suggest Sensation rom by crysis (eventhough it is a captivate rom, but i think you could find some ideas useful there, for it's one of the best themed rom i've seen!)

Dont work - test it 4 times with two LG500, it will start and then we become the following failure "process com.android.settings" and we cant configure the start prozedure.

fserve, what do you think about to give support for this rom ? I remember in Adrenaline's forum you told that you made a kernel with excellent battery life. It would be amazing to see your kernel working great with AGA.

    Hi
Can somone link an "how to install a2sd " i cant find a good instriuction.

    The best rom allways!!!
    faster then befor :)

    Tks

Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App

Prequisite-- u need a 512mb ext partition ..(or higher)
Do this before the steps cos tis is d main thing..
Go to recovery --advanced--partition sd card .- ext-512,swap-0..nd once u r done reboot n follow from 1st step. so here are the steps..
    1) get darktremour a2sd .zip file from the following link..
    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=715940
2)befre beginning go to setting -- storage and check free internal memory .without a2sd it wil be sumwhr around 150mb ..
3)now put the downloaded .zip file in your sd card ..go to recovery and flash the .zip file after choosing flash file from sd ..
4)reboot phone n check free internl memory ..it wil be the same as before ..
5)get an app named a2sd gui from android market and run it .
It would ask for superuser permission so give it,it will lso give a warning just hit ok and then choose the second tab for cache ..the pointer would be in internal memory .
Now choose cache in sd ext and hit move and rebuild ..now it will automatically reboot and after loading will reboot once more on its own ..
Now check ur free memory will be around 190-193 mb nd any app u install will automatically go to sd ..u need not move it manually ..the free memory will remain same or decrease very marginally ..
    Enjoy ..n press thanks

Edit: kindly ignore grammatical mistake n tiny spelling mistakes cos i typed all of this using my fone wit dictionary off :p
