Qpst can do all of that. However, the qhsusb mode has different stages, and the phone needs to be in the correct one. And, of course, we need the signed hex for htc. That and many other reasons why I'm never buying another htc phone, unless they pair up with Google and make a nexus phone.

Which hex do you mean? I have MPRG8960.hex and 8960_msimage.mbn, if you need it. Would it be possible to rescue a phone in QHSUSB_DLOAD if the partitions are not enumerated in Linux?

That hex isn't signed, most likely, otherwise darkspr1te would've resurrected a few of these already.

I asked this before but never got a response. I haven't done the security update. Does it affect s-off ability? has anyone achieved s-off after they updated?

the security update my prevent you from superCIDing. why would you want to wait? s-off now while you have the oportunity. you can change your cid back to stock and take the OTA after,if you really want to.

Oh I think I've heard about this actually don't do the updates most of the time like 99% you should never do stock updates... They just add more restrictions

And the update makes one of them mckb... Whatever files readable only so u can't modify it and gain soff
