I bought a RAZR M and couldn't be happier! PERFECT size and despite not the latest specs in screen resolution and processing power its fast and looks good. Bootloader is locked but it took 5 minutes to root (I dont feel the need to change things anyway. Just want to use titanium and root explorer. that and of course Verizon has made it impossible to tether without rooting it and changing build props). I bought it used in mint condition for $360 (cords hadn't even been opened, no blemishes on phone). I am available for upgrade NOW. I thought about the droid DNA but the 16gb with no micro SD was a deal breaker for me. The note was way too big. Nothing special about the LG spectrum 2. I still have my upgrade when Verizon decides to come out with something worthwhile. If not I'll run out my contract and switch. By then hopefully AT&T or Sprint will have their LTE networks expanded a little better. I like the network but I HATE Verizon!

I'm considering the Razr Maxx HD.
I'm surprised it isn't mentioned more often. Am I missing something besides locked bootloader that would rule it out?

Non-removable battery and, does it have a removable SD card?

Removable battery and SD card are requirements on any phone I'd buy.

Yes it has a removable SD card.
I agree about the battery, but not sure it is a deal breaker.

Its been a good run, thanks TeamLiquid and Twisted for breathing new life into this device but I opted for the GNex. By no means is it a top tier device but having access to aosp hot from the source makes up for it. So long are the days of hoping to find an update on xda.
