They will only phone if they no ya number ?????
I think they have been caught with there pants down if they pulled there finger out then this would not happen plus other Romers do a better job at it any how i think Android should let Romers have android from the off if that was the case we would of had it by now

My friend, Samsung was expecting the firmware to be leaked, all the talk about them not knowing that it will find it's way into the wild is just a fiction... While we are on it then let me tell you somthing, and again, telling this is not directed at you but at at those that are spreading these lies:
1. Samsung is not looking for anyone..
2. Samsung intended for this firmware to be leaked..
3. I have 4 copies from 4 members..
4. That who is spreading those lies about Samsung looking for those that have leaked the firmware is just hurt because someone other than them have 4 copies and they have non, they don't want members to leak these firmwares here at XDA.

I hope that those that read this do get the big picture now, and they always read what we write. ;)

Edit: One more thing, I had the firmware ready before Iammodo did pass me the firmware, it was already uploaded, but I did not post it because that I respect that he did download the firmware, he had a thread open and it was alot of trouble that he should be thanked for, I did not want to ruin all that by posting the firmware on a different thread..

Hey people,

Do all of you have this bug with the softkeys constant backlight (as long as the screen is on)?

Or there are just a few of JVK users who experience this?

I'm asking to figure out is it worth to reflash the rom or it is 100% that this will occur again?

It might be either JVK kernel bug, issue after rooting with cf-jv1 kernel or i dont know...

Would be grateful for your feedback

After CF with JV1, my device's all of sensors disabled (or may this problems reason is checked "Phone Bootloadar Update" box, but i don't see any argument about this in this forum).

Voice call connections is starting few seconds later when other side (or me) answer the call. So my first words (in few, may first second) can not tranfer to other side.

And yes, button back light lighting everytime :)

I don't advice you Root with CF-JV1, but i saw a new version for JVK may you can try this (i will not, nowadays)

...and still when voice call is finalize, my device's screen locked as lights turn-of, and i can't press End Call button, so i can't see this :) I can back to lights on with only press Home button.

This is not a bug...its a default feature of this rom...everyone has it like this now...

Thank you. You saved my time - I was right about to flash clean JVK and start all over again with settings restoring backups and stuff. I hope Samsung will quit this in the very official GB release 'cause it's a waste of battery and it disturbs especially when you play a game or watching a movie.

Cross post:
Anyone else had in-call volume adjustment not working? I received a call today and it was LOUD. Tried to lower the volume during the call, but to no avail.
Using Supercurio's kernel (JVK).

You are welcome...

Hey Ramad, why not paste this info regarding "backlit buttons always on with screen on" on first page...since this is a change from froyo.....there were a lot of questions about this in Iammodo thread earlier...:)

Yeah, it's all over internet now that Galaxy's got Gingerbread first and get some feedback about it is nice for uncle Sam. ;) And good way to seen if lighten up LEDs will be accepted as new feature;)

    3. Let the device boot all the way then turn it off.
    4. Re-enter Download Mode and re-flash only the CSC file without pit and without re-partition.
    5. Enjoy

    How to flash:

    Note:
Re-partition is not a must, use it only if you need to change partition sizes on the device, but in most cases you will not need to repartition at all.

If you haven't flashed your device before or you find it easier to follow with the help of videos then please follow these detailed HQ videos and descriptions made to you by itskapil:
Easy Install Guide for noobs, and everyone! thanks to itskapil for his good work and for sharing these videos.

    No pit and no re-partition:
    * Start Odin without connecting the device.
    * Load the files that you want to flash:

CWM3 update.zip for CRT screen-off animation and battery percentage icon

Here is a CWM3 update.zip for CRT screen-off animation and battery percentage icon for JVK. Based on $omator's work here, which in turn is based on others work, etc. Also based on Mothatt's work here. Full credit to the planet.

The update requires CF-Root v2.4 for JVK.

    There are various files:

    update-jvk-framework-original.zip Restore original JVK framework-res
update-jvk-framework-screenoff.zip Add screen off animation framework-res
update-jvk-framework-screenoff-batt.zip Add screen off animation + battery percentage icon framework-res

update-jvk-ock-v2-original.zip Restore original files modified by ock v2 theme
update-jvk-ock-v2-theme.zip Install ock v2 theme (see ock's thread)

    Instructions (CF-Root v2.4 and newer):
    - Go to Settings -> Display -> Animation and make sure it is set to "All animations"
    - Copy the attached update-jvk-xxx.zip to your device's SD card
    - Reboot into CWM: Applications -> CWM -> Reboot now
    - Wait until recovery is booted :)
    - Go to install zip from sdcard (NOT to be confused with "apply update from sdcard" !!!), and press home.
    - Go to choose zip from sdcard, and press home.
    - Find update-jvk-XXX.zip. Note that if you put the file on the external SD card instead of the internal one, you may have to navigate into the external_sd folder to find the file!
    - Press home to start the update, select yes - .... (and press home), wait a few seconds, device will reboot, and update is applied!

Instructions (CF-Root v2.5 and newer, quicker):
    - Go to Settings -> Display -> Animation and make sure it is set to "All animations"
    - Copy the attached update-jvk-xxx.zip to your device's SD card
    - Go to CWM Manager: Applications -> CWM
    - Select "Flash update"
    - Find the file on your SD card, tap it, and click "Flash" button
    - Your device will boot into CWM, install the update, reboot into normal mode, and you are done!

STILL YOU CAN EXTRACT THEM AND FLASH MANUALY ON EXT4

    How to install:
    1) Copy files to Internal SDCARD
    2) Follow the procedure from screenshots:

or use CWM app from your appdrawer...Flash an uptate.zip from menu... pick modification and let it do the magic...

Notification bar icons (Wi-Fi, network coverage bars, etc.):
Turn green when you have an uninhibited connection to Google, white when you don't.
Hint: if you're in a hotel or airport using Wi-Fi, the bars won't turn green until you launch the browser and get past the captive portal.

get rid of LED always on when screen on

    EDIT 16 APRIL:

    New, clear and transparent method:
Flash attached CWM3-compatible update. It replaces backlight driver with one from 2.3.2 firmware, which does not have the LED backlight "problem" :)

If it does not work or you're not on cwm3, but rooted, you can manually replace stock 2.3.3 driver: system\lib\hw\lights.s5pc110.so with the one in attached zip file.

    7) this will open new WinRAR window (do not close first window!)
    8) double-click on res folder
    9) now just drag-and-drop the anim foder you unpacked at point 2) over the existing one
    10) click OK at windows that will prompt you
    11) close the WinRAR window that youve just updated with anim
