Google "Android SDK". And if you're not sure...you don't have it.2 part question: if I'm already rooted should I install this tool? What exactly is Android SDK and how do I know if I have it or not?
Thanks..
i noticed my kfhd consuming more battery after installing the tweaks / apps (i suspect the signed google package - but have no proof). After some analyzing “cell standby“ seems to be the culprit ~50% battery usage. I found telephoneprovider.apk and phone.apk in system/apps and renamed them. I will monitor the situation abd see if it fixed the problem.
Has anyone else noticed similar things?
If this is not only my imagination, we should get this fixed in the software - half battery life is no laughing matter.
Regards,
alexander

I thought I read a post that talked about a 'task manager', a utility that showed what every app was using...
Hopefully that sparks someone's memory
Peace
no people, no task manager, that drain battery too, apps didnt drain battery. use http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2155737 or startup manager. or simply dont put a high brightness and put aircraft mode on ! you can use wifi with aircraft mode so why dont you use it?
Sorry mate - aircraft mode on the KFHD 8.9 kills WiFi too. Aircraft safety means all transmitters are shut down - at least in the US.the solution is to use aircraft mode, you can use wifi, but that cellphone signal will be off, simple, if you delete those apk too, but i made that and i have ever aircraft mode on for battery saving!

please help!
Yes i'm positive this will work i've been in this situation more than i can remember now, Probably +15 times (I love tinkering)
First of all do you have a KFHD 7" system.img backup? If you don't then start at step 1, if you do have them start at step 3
1) Download a stock rooted 7.2.3 image from this link
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/kfhd-7.2.3/images/boot.img
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/kfhd-7.2.3/images/recovery.img
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54456659/kfhd-7.2.3/images/system.img
(Prokennexusa's dropbox, I hope he doesn't mind i pulled the links from inside the runme.bat code)
2) rename those files to
stock-boot.img
stock-recovery.img
stock-system.img
3)Place the 3 files inside backup folder (C:\KFFirstAide\backup)
4)Open runme.bat choose option 26
you will be asked if you would like to restore, Type Y and enter.
Then you will be asked if you would like to reboot into fastboot, You are already in fastboot so, Type N and enter.
Then you will be asked if you want to restore system partition, Type Y and enter.
Sending the file will take 5 minutes and writing will take 80 seconds
then you will be asked if you would like to restore boot and recovery partitions. Type Y and enter.
If you CAN'T LOSE the files on the kindle, Then when you are asked if you want to wipe cache and user data, Type N and enter, Otherwise it is recommended that you do.
Then your device will reboot and that's it!
If you need help just ask
good luck

I get errors that the file exists in an otherwise empty directory, twice. I've attached screen shots. I've tried using both winrar and 7-zip and gotten the error both times.
