That doesn't sound good. The reason I asked is because I found myself in a similar situation, hitting volume up and then nothing. It took me several tries before I realized that MY problem wasn't the phone or process so much as the volume buttons embedded in the back frame.

Every time I pushed volume up, volume down was also getting pushed. Rather than failing, my earlier attempts were getting cancelled. My fourth or fifth try worked and I was able to restore my phone. From there I could easily verify that the issue was with the back frame and not the volume buttons on the phone or the phone itself. I pulled the back frame off and the underlying buttons worked fine.

It took several tries to get the frame back on where it didn't cause problems. But now the phone works fine.

My point being, pay attention to how the volume buttons work in the bootloader.

My phone has the same issue and doesnt turn on. I have followed your first steps, However, My phone freezes once i chose "Factory reset" and I cant access the "SD card" from my pc I can't see the "Boot" file cuz my pc doesnt show that my phone is connected.

How do I fix this? please help me!

GOD DAAAMN! I'm having the same problem. Its been more than a week! I have lost all my contacts and all important stuff! My fone is not even reading this PD15IMG.zip file! I tried many things such using different sd cards and nothing is happening! its not even reading the file!
and if i select recovery, it shows this "sync" symbol on top of a device then it turns off.. plus it vibrates 8 vibrations.. as if it says GET YOUR F***** HANDS OFF ME!
I contacted my carrier, they pretty much said screw you its been more than a year!

WTH do i do?? please help me!

Hi I'm new here. I recently got an HTC Mytouch and was doing a factory reset on it when during the reset the phone dropped and when i put the battery back in it wouldnt respond. I tried to press down the neccessary buttons to do a factory reset and all i got was a flicker and blank screen. I came here and read through all the tutorials on how to reflash rom and bootloader etc. and it all seemed a bit difficult. Just when I was about to give up i decided to plug the phone in for a bit. A couple of hours later I tried again and lo and behold it worked!!! To my amazement I realized that the battery was just low hence getting the flicker. I realized that all the posts that i read about unbricking, flashing and etc. i was suprised that none of them said to make sure the battery was charged up first. I know this may seem like common sense and a very simple thing but sometimes to err is human so maybe if this was reminded it might save some people a great deal of heartache. If i sound retarded please excuse my ignorance. Thanx!

How can u get the CID when you are stuck at white screen and all that is available is the bootloader ? I got this Glacier that wont repond top anything , tried the PD15***.zip , it sees it, start to install it then i get CID incorrect....

mytouch 4g suddenly switched off when my son was downloading a game on it, after that i turned it on i was stuck on htc logo screen. I have tried many options but still unable to fix it up ,

(1) tried to factory reset ......... no function performed and stuck on screen.
(2) tried to recovery .............. the following error shown on screen.
