just wiped all and installed cm9 which booted fine and installed this rom over cm9 with wipe. rebooting now

---------- Post added at 07:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:05 PM ----------

still no boot so i dont know whats wrong? how long do i wait before giving up? shame as really wanted to try this rom out as love miui

just wait for the next version.:)

To fix the messaging app do this.

Download the attached mms.apk

In app settings clear all data for the messaging app (backup your massages first but I found they was not lost anyway)

Reboot device into recovery.

Use the file manager in recovery and go to system/apps

Remove a unused app from there ( I deleted the sound recorder as its large and I never use it. Plus there are many available on the market if needed) now go back to where you downloaded the mms.apk to and copy it.

Now go back to system/apps and paste/overwrite the file

Close the file manager and do a clear cache and fix permissions in recovery then reboot.

You will now have messaging working :)

Try Andy's. I've flashed it today and it's very good and stable. Plus, I cannot find a difference between this and WEUI.

Update: on Wednesday my apps started fc'ing so I rebooted the phone. Guess what: BOOTLOOP! :)))
And I couldn't go into recovery either.......
That left with no phone for 4 days while on holidays... was a nice break though.
Anyway I'm running Dark y's now and hoping for the best......

update again: (just so that neither andy's or any other miui ROM gets the blame) I did some research and most probably the issue with my phone boot looping could be due to the /datadata bug. I can't find the url now but searching on xda will get you there. In a nutshell, I did all that will lead to the issue, ie restore from titanium a great number of apps + data and using flipboard and chrome heavily etc.
I have installed a relevant datafix for this. To be honest I am tempted to go back to andy's (excellent) miui...

They are both old ports of MIUI. You can download this weeks port 2.8.10 from WWW.MIUS.US if you are interested?

i follow the flashing method from gb cause i flashed from cm7 i got in bootloop i wiped and reboot still same =( what to do?

flash a stock GB rom with odin. then custom GB kernel like semaphore to give you CWM. and then flash this rom again. remember that the aroma installer may not finish on the first time. if it happens flash it again and it will continue

    v2.0 (Full ROM)
    http://android.gcfam.net/devs/NightShack0/weui/WeUI_v2.0_by_NightShack0.zip

(Please donate as a thanks for the ROM and what I have done)

To install properly and avoid any problem follow these steps:

    Coming from Gingerbread
    1. Reboot to recovery
    2. Open/flash the WeUI zip file you downloaded on recovery
    3. On the installer choose your device, and select "Data Wipe"
    4. Select "Install Now"
    5. Your device will reboot to recovery at the start of the installation (if you get a recovery bootloop or it doesn't reboot to recovery, do it manually)
    6. Open the WeUI zip file again from recovery
    7. The installation will continue where it left off and finish by itself
    8. Reboot

    Coming from another ICS ROM
    1. Reboot to recovery
    2. Open/flash the WeUI zip file you downloaded on recovery
    3. On the installer choose your device, and select "Data Wipe"
    4. Select "Install Now"
    5. Reboot

    Updating from older WeUI
    1. Reboot to recovery
    2. Open/flash the WeUI zip file you downloaded on recovery
    3. On the installer choose your device, and select "Cache Wipe" (if coming from certain old WeUI versions you will need Data Wipe)
    4. Install it
    5. Reboot

720p recording isnt working for me! Why?!
It should be working without any changes, but if you see this happen, flash http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1575485 and report that it didn't work at first.

I found a bug or problem in your ROM, what should I do?
Try to read the thread for possible solutions, and if you can't find anything, then post the problem without complaining and try to describe as much as you can the problem and when it happened, etc. Please use the "Report MIUI" option if you experience a force close which will open the "WeUI Feedback app" and it will automatically add the logcat information of that force close, but please describe your problem and don't just send the log. (Most logs will be ignored if you don't describe your problem)

Some theme elements are not getting changed!!
Right now only certain things work on themes like lockscreen, icons, etc. But other stuff doesn't get themed or doesn't look right, this is a thing that MIUI will fix in an upcoming release

Why is there a Torch app? Galaxy S devices don't have a LED flash!
I know there's no LED flash, but the Torch is not an app and can't be deleted that easily, it's on the System UI and can't figure out how to do it correctly
