Enable adb shell for Micromax canvas hd

Hello All,

I want to connect my Canvas HD to my ubuntu 12.04 machine for using adb shell.

I have done following steps but can't able to start adb shell

Enabled USB debugging on the phone
Connected phone to my ubuntu 12.04 using the USB cable
Type "./adb devices" to list connected devices but don't able to get it.

Please help

I'm not experienced with ubuntu...but I can help u if u tell me what recovery u have....u can start it via the recovery
