I have the G2 and I just purchased the Silicon Power (WiFi) portable hard drive for remote storage with my phone. Is there a way to have the storage connected to the phone while still maintaining network data? Something like changing my IP address might help? Right now I am on a stock ROM.

TIA

I don't think you can hook into wifi to attach to that drive and also keep your mobile network connection, the phone just knows you're on wifi. It does look like you can configure that drive to connect to your access point and pass the internet connection through it, that would only work if you're home or somewhere you can get it on wifi.
