Though I am happy with my nexus 7, I still sometimes come back to using the tab 10.1. Glad to see it is still being supported. Thanks a ton bee_gee

Video recording isn't working for me, don't know if it's just this build as I haven't tried it on the march 10 build.
Strike that.... It is working but it force closed on me a couple of times...

You guys have to stop depending on stock camera for some function. Video recording 720p work fine using Snap Camera app. Try using third party app for Cameras.

I installed this version earlier this day directly over 10/03- everything went smooth, no fc, no error messages or random reboots that I faced with the previous version (23/03).

Kids have been playing games in it all day and not reported any problems whatsoever.

Downloaded the ROM yesterday, everything works darn smooth so far, my browseer doesn't crash anymore and videoplaybacks rocks again :) amazing how smooth it is and this on only 1000Mhz, very very good build!! Thanks again!

Ps: so far, i found no bugs or glitches

I'm using tapatalk- haven't seen any signature (mine or other's) for eons... Guess will have to login on PC to see what my signature contains:)

Just to be not completely OT: I can confirm flashing ROM with twrp 2.6.3 beta- there's a link in Kasper's thread. TWRP is soooo much better than cwm- I just hate using the hardware buttons and infinite scrolling on the yes/no screens.... Yuck, will never user cwm as long as I can avoid it. Even the cwm touch version is mostly lame when compared to twrp.

Ok, guys (and girls), beside of "no problem with TWRP", any bad things you found while testing the ROM?

I am not planning to have nightlies, as NamelessROM is having not so many changes right now. Every one or two week I will check if an update makes sense. Of course if you find a bug that I can fix, I will immediately release an update.

Which GApps package are you using? I experienced FC of the camera with video recording and panoramic photo after I flashed an older GApps version. With the GApps I mentioned in post#1 the problem was gone. And of course without any GApps flashed there was no problem as well. Seems to be an incompatibility between the camera and GApps (maybe Gallery???)

I used the mini package. But video recording is only force closing when I start it up holding the tab upright instead of in landscape (after a very brief test yesterday).

    What does NOT work?
    There are graphical glitches.
    Although they mainly have been solved there seem to be some remaining issues with hwcomposer that may crash the tab.

    Smoothness advice:
    Go to performance settings:
    Overclock CPU (Do this at your own risk!)
    Keep governor on Interactive
    Set minimum speed to 400MHz (credits for this tip goto Jaegermeiste)

    Go to developer settings:
    Activate "Force GPU rendering"
    Active "Disble HW-overlays"
    Set background process limit to 4 processes

    (if performance/developer options are not yet shown, go to settings>about and press build number 7 times)

    Some other tips:
    For improvement of sound quality, you can use Viper4Android
    For more volume only, SpeakerBoost is earier to use

    To be able to use Flash player, use a browser that doesn't use the kitkat browser engine (e.g. firefox can be used).
    Download flash player from adobe website (thanks to AAccount for finding out!).
    If you can't see your internal SD on PC: Go to Settings -> Storage -> 3 dot menu -> tick MTP.
    If Google Voice Search crashes: Under the Google now settings select voice options and tick the box next to Bluetooth headset. This will prevent Google now from crashing. (credits to Olivier V)

    Disclaimer:
    I was compiling several ROMs for Samsung Galaxy devices.
    With KitKat coming up I was able to maintain my ROMs for the S4, but was not successful with a ROM for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500).

    Thanks to the incredible support of kasper_h I was able to take over his work and create this KitKat ROM for the tablet!
    Unfortunately he discontinued the work on this ROM because he will move on to a more advanced tablet.
    I wish him great success with his new tablet and want to thank for his work for the 10.1 tablet!
    With kasper_h agreement I take over and will maintain future updates of this ROM.

    Want to build the ROM by yourself?
    You can build the ROM complete with the NamelessROM sources.
    Just get the sources from GitHub.
    If you want to build the ROM with my experimental extensions then you need to use some of my repos:

    Request
    Please try to record logcat when the problem occurs and post a link here. That makes it easier to find problems.
    Catlog is really easy to use:
    1. Install Catlog
    2. Start Catlog before you start the apk that makes problems
    3. Accept request for root access
    4. Press "X in a circle" to clear current log
    5. If stopped, press ">" to start logging
    6. After recording press "||" to stop logging
    7. After recording press 3-dot menue
    8. Select "Save" or "Sichern" to save the log
    9. Accept file name
    10. The logcat is saved in the folder sdcard/catlog/saved_logs
    11. Put this file somewhere on the net where I can access it (e.g. Dropbox)

    About the kernel
    The current HOMEMADE version uses the kernel provided by twa_priv.
    The NIGHTLY builds still use the kernel provided by kasper_h. The V1.09 build is a test if the new kernel shows advantages over Mackay kernel.
    This ROM features the Mackay kernel (it is a kernel named ICS_2014, because kasper_h worked on this kernel for stock ICS and CM9 as well).
    The zram code has been optimized (based on google advice for low-RAM devices) and is enabled by default.
    kasper_h also improved the OC code and changed voltages.
