there is new fast HTC 2015 messaging client working with 12/6 NRG rom. it has also Secure Box and good MMS client. I have tested it - it works for me from All Messages Tab. Look and download it /showthread.php?t=700495. It would be nice to cook it to the next rom and link it also from People.messaging tab. (SMS tab from each HTC contact). Can anybody help me with this? Now it is linked to amarulz sms client. I need to link it back to HTC Messaging, because it is working now without any lags.

until we have 2015 for VGA devices (there is some discussion going on in the 2012 thread) we can't install this... but it looks like the guys porting 2015 have got it mostly ported for vga... hopefully we will soon see a 2015 port that NRG can cook for us, who knows maybe he's been following that thread... my biggest "wish" at the moment is for a CHT 1.8.1 ROM =)

but this messaging client sound very nice and "promising"

The rom versions are distinguishable by date -- the changelog list changes by date version. The 21XXX and 23XXX numbers refer only to the OS core build being used. This is in the first post:

He will usually post in the changelog if something is specific to one core version or another, but usually it is inferred, since some software does not apply to one core version or another.

Beyond that, the other details about his naming are also in the first post.

hefman,

I think it's a matter of time for me to be able to identify which software belongs to which OS, considering I wasn't following any ROM's development.
I could figure out the difference between 21xxx and 23xxx (OS 6.5 and OS 6.5.5) (as you mentioned, it is in the first post) but I still don't understand the other 3 numbers.

I appreciate your attention. Best regards.

yes, install Tarkim's RAPH, Key remapper/driver (think AEButton plus on STEROIDS) and then after a soft-reset goto start>settings>system>keyboard config>menu>add key> press the talk/send button now for the "click" hit the + button to add an action, choose "run program" then in the "Program:" box type ":MSCProg" (without quotes). now your send button will ALWAYS open the dialer when you press talk/send.

Even with this config set up, it doesn't always launch. I just did a fresh install of 6/12 Cookie and when I press Talk, the START briefly flashes in the upper left corner and then goes away...and that's it.

Sorry. I didn't quite understand your first post. I'm pretty sure I still don't understand.

Do you mean the last three numbers of the build, as in 21905 or 23569?? If so, that's just the specific WM OS build number. It's not a number NRG came up with, it's just what he happens to use in his rom for the current versions. When the "21XXX" or "23XXX" terms are used, they just imply the particular thread of rom development (i.e., 6.5.X or 6.5) -- the full number is the specific build. It's just part of a sequential numbering system Microsoft uses.

There is more information on this in the Chef Central forum here.

OR, are you talking about the last 3 numbers in the filename, like ...Jun.12.7z, for example?? That is just the date of the rom (June 12th) along with the 7zip filename extension.

Hopefully, I'm not off target again... :eek:

•Video call dialer has been added to the ROM so you can now make video calls !
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've just upgraded from May13th ROM to June 12th and foudn the Video Call Dialer is removed. Anyone know what dialer and where to get it back? Many thanks
This was discussed at length a month ago. The video dialer caused several other problems, so it was taken out. Not to mention that after all the screaming to add video call by some very vocal members, not a single donation after it was added... :rolleyes:
This is for those of you with a FUZE who want most of the functionality of a TOUCH PRO keyboard (ie: Ctl key)
I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.....I've installed Tarkim's remapper cab and imported your reg file. I opened a file using Word, used shift and the cursor to highlight a sentence. I then held down the ctrl key and pressed c simultaneously but instead of copying the sentence replaced by a 'c'. I tried a different route by selecting the sentence again, selected ctrl and then hit 'c' (not simultaneous).
Am I missing something? For the life of me can't figure this out.
yeah, unfortunately I haven't figured word out... some programs even though it acts the way you say it's acting it still copies... I'm not sure what those programs are looking for exactly... but I know in total commander and most the htc programs and also in opera, it works properly... I will see if I can come up with a solution that makes it work as expected in word...
if windows hasn't loaded fully then sometimes it is sporadic, but once windows is properly loaded, it works everytime for me... edit: either that or your d-pad is starting to fail, I had a d-pad fail on me the only buttons that would register were the directional and the home... talk, end and back buttons stopped working and pressing any of them would only register one of the other working buttons sporadically...
I did search for the video dialer but no one mentioned what sort of dialer it was used. For me, I have no issue at all when doing a video call. Its a nice feature to have since it is capable of it.
Well... I have to eat my words... seems to be working perfectly for me... and boy is this a nice interface! no more plain-jane windows mobile "all messages" it seems fast, only a slight lag loading with almost 500 SMS messages... will do some further testing, but I'm impressed at the moment!
Energy.RAPHAEL.21905.Sense2.5.Cookie.Jun.12
Flashed Energy.RAPHAEL.21905.Sense2.5.Cookie.Jun.12
Flashed via microSD card without prior usage of task29 (I always do hard reset after the flash). Flash went OK, no signs of long boot. XDA_UC worked it's magic without a glitch which installed all of my apps (SIPChange, Touch InCall Screen Tweak, SPB Backup, Opera Mobile 10 beta 3 repack, Panoramic moTweets, SUN JavaFX, BoxeeRemote and S2U2), imported all of my settings (registry), created my shortcuts, moved some of my shortcuts, imported my WiFi settings and restored my backup (only msgs, emails, contacts and My Documents). Successfully synched with my laptop via WMDC (version 6.1 on Windows 7 Pro) with "Enable faster data synchronization" enabled.
For now everything is working including WiFi, GPS, My Location, and so on. I have noticed a better phone reception with this ROM (is rilphone.dll changed?)
Sense is working fast and smooth and haven't noticed any bugs.
Only bug I have noticed is Cookie Quicklinks bug for which JVH3 has posted a fix here: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=6808404&postcount=25546
Also, I haven't noticed any strange battery consumption (for me it's 20% to 25% loss in a day)
This one is a keeper!
Couple of things I can't seem to find but it would be nice to have automatically imported via XDA_UC:
1. disable Sense vibration
2. disable phone tones on keypress (from short tones to off)
3. disable 3G
4. Touch InCall Screen Tweak settings
Can anyone help? Tnx :)
I was talking about the XXX from 21XXX and 23XXX. I didn't think about the minor updates from Microsoft.
Now everything is clear for me. You've got a point there :)
It was so confusing for me... new version with the same number, but it just means NRG used the exactly same OS version.
Thank you very much.
Using 21905 Sense 2,5 Cookie June 12 rom sinds it was uploaded. Only had to implement te vga fixes for cht 1.8.0 and everything is just great.
Great performance, very smooth. Very good battery consumption.
Phone and umts/hsdpa reception is blowing out the roof.
This is gonna be it for a loooooong time :p
Man, this Cookie 2.5 sense Rom has grown up really really fast.
This really brings back the pleasure to using my ol' Touch Pro!
Hello
I have been searching in the forum for a solution to my problem but I didn't find it. I flashed yesterday my phone with the 21905 Sense 2.5 GTX Jun 12 ROM, everything was great until I tried to synchronize with Active Sync or use Internet Sharing. When I connect the phone to PC using USB cable, I select Active Sync, then the PC starts to resolve the IP, but it is not able to solve it so i receive a message that says "there is limited connectivity" and I am not able to sync or share internet. When I choose "Disk drive" in my phone to use my memory card, I have no problem and I can see the memory content... I have problems only with active sync and internet sharing.
I really appreciate your help with this issue. By the way, thanks for your great work and all your developments.
Best Regards
Diego
Hi everyone,
This is my first post on xda-developers forum! :)
Since when I got my HTC Fuze (on june, 2009) I’ve been following the Energy ROM Thread. I wasn’t sure if it was safe to flash with 3rd part ROM so I decided to wait a year, while my warranty was still valid.
I was really excited about things I read about this ROM and last week I flashed it to my mobile. And I regret it so much… I should have done it earlier :D. Spending 12 months with the stock ROM instead of using the Energy ROM was a big mistake.
First of all I just want to congratulate NRGZ28, JVH3 and all people who are supporting this awesome ROM.
From now on I will do my best to help you guys make this ROM even better.
Let me report some minor issues I’ve found during my first week with the rom (some of them are related to Cookie’s tab, which is an awesome add-on to the ROM):
ROM issues:
1- 10% of the time I turn my WI-FI on and connect to my home router the connection is established but I could not use internet with any program (Weather, Opera, Email…). The problem goes away when I switch it OFF and ON again… (I have no clue what is causing it, but I didn’t have this kind of problem with the stock ROM).
2- When I flip the phone to see my albums in the Player tab, it shows no album, just the play button. This issue happens every time I soft reset the phone. After going to the albums library the problem is solved til next reset.
3- The lock screen, after coming from stand-by, takes around 5 seconds to allow me slide the button. The button is there by the time I turn it on, but it’s impossible to slide.
Integrations with Cookie’s tab issues:
1- Cookie’s lock screen doesn’t lock the PTT button.
2- The weather animation sometimes doesn’t behave as it should be. Even if I turn the animation of, when the phone comes back from stand by, the animation is displayed.
PS: Battery seems to be draining a little faster than before. I think it’s the price to pay for better performance. Switching backlight to Auto made the battery last a little longer.
Congratulations again.
Peace!
Dont know if anyone replied to you already but on the WiFi issue try setting the WiFi power saving mode (under the advanced wifi options0 slider to Best Performance rather than Best Battery. I found that when on best battery my WiFi would connect but not really "be there". With it on best performance, it works everytime.
Also on the battery issue when you flash a ROM you need to wait a while for the phone to re-learn the specifics of the battery. I have not flashed for a couple months now and my phone battery seems to just last longer and longer - i think its purely a sensor/calibration issue rather than any actual battery drain. It would be nice if there was a way to backup/restore the battery calibration settings between flashes
@rcartolano
The lockscreen slider button is laggy, but remember this ROM is from 1GHz phones and we have half of that on ours.
Also, anyone know if there will be a MaxManila update? it's currently June 01 in the hotfile list
Nevermind, I'm digging Cookie Dinik Glass
    Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !
    This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) device.
    The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.
    I build my ROMs with four main goals.
    • Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
    • Speed !!!
    • Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
    • Stability through private beta testing before public release
    I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
    I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
    Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
    • The 21916 Build which is the most reliable, fast and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner just like a stock ROM. I recommend you start with this first! :)
    • The 29022 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
    It's definitely the fastest way to get in touch with me and please don't be afraid to tweet me if you see major issues with the ROMs.
    I generally do not answer "support" questions on Twitter, as it's really not the proper medium for that. Service packs and quick fixes will always be released as links in my tweets and that's definitely the fastest way to get a fix for a ROM.
    To follow me on twitter, click here!
    If you own an European\Asian Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the american AT&T Fuze layout enabled by default.
    This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
    The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
    They all come in two versions,
    Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
    You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
    The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
    quite a few more features and speed, however it's still in 'beta'. Cookie 1.8.5 is considered the less complicated and stable build for now.
    My own 'Energy' style
    • This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
    • Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
    • Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
    • 3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
    • 3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    Dinik's "Anastasia"
    • This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
    • Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
    _LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
    • This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
    • .sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
    • This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
    • More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    ElCondor's "GTX"
    • This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
    • Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
    • GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience
    • Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
    ROM features at a glance:
    • Very fast startup time. You won't find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM and ready to go. No need to spend time to set everything up.
    • XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
    • My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
    • Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, all options, etc
    • The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting, but still able to use a nicely skinned Sense text messaging app with "iphone style" messaging bubbles.
    • You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
    • Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...
    Camera / G-Sensor Issue
    In the Rhodium, I found that HTCSensorSDK.dll was missing in both the December 11th and December 13th ROMs.
    I found this by running depends.exe on Camera.exe.
    I saw that HTCSensorSDK.dll was a dependency.
    Since there were also G-Sensor issue, it seemed like a likely cause.
    I uploaded my December 5th version of that file. A user applied it.
    The Camera started working.
    That particular file might not be compatible with the Raphael, so I recommend someone look at the last ROM where the camera worked. backup HTCSensorSDK.dll from the windows folder.
    Flash the latest ROM. Then copy the backed up file to the windows folder.
    If it works, then zip it up and upload it.
    Hope this helps. If it does, please remember the Thanks button.
