I see this morning that I897UCJH2 (2.1) is available for the Samsung Captivate on samsung-firmware.webs.com. Anyone tried it yet? I am downloading it now...
I am currently running JM5 with RyanZA's lagfix so I'm hesitant to try a new rom.

Update: Changelog (based on feedback to this thread as there is no official changelog)
Pros:
* Media Scanning is quicker
* Quadrant scores are a bit higher
* GPS lock seems to happen faster
* QuickOffice is included (though you can find it in the AT&T section of the Market on your Captivate
* prompt for action when plugging in USB cable is now enabled by default
* added YouTube HQ button
Cons:
* USB tethering removed (fix: xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=761577)
* no SideLoading (fix: xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=751934)
* no HSUPA
* "go into flight mode and turn on wifi" Market workaround removed (reported as untrue)
Recommended GPS Settings:
Dial *#*#1472365#*#*
Application Settings:
Operation Mode: MS based
Accuracy: 120
SUPL/CP Settings:
Server: supl.google.com
Server Port: 7276
