To flash or not to flash
I've been a moderate flashaholic every since the HTC Desire came out. I've tried many different versions of Android 2, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3. It's been fun to do, but there are always issues or one sort or another, usually nothing too serious. It also seems like the different iterations of JB are really not that different after all. My favorite ones are Baked Blackbean (which is no longer being supported) and SlimBean. I was able to get data working, but I still have not been able to get MMS to work. So, I am embarrassed to say this, but I restored an old nandroid of GB (Android 2.3.6), and I was pleasantly surprised! I was not surprised to see that I had no problem with data, MMS, or GPS. I also noticed that now flash player works and I have not gotten a single fc or random reboot. Best news though is that battery life is much, much better, and I have not noticed any difference in speed. I tried using Go Launcher and learned I can even resize my icons. I'm a happy camper for now. but I will probably flash another custom ROM at some point, or I may just wait for the Samsung Note 3 to land.since I am eligible for an upgrade.
