Default Copy 16 GB RAZR (smashed) to 8GB replacement?

Edit: Using HDMI Mirroring I've discovered that my original (smashed) RAZR is only 8 GB. The title will now make no sense - but I could still do with some advice.

Firstly I apologise for my newness to this topic. I've googled and read the first 11 Q&A pages.

I have a smashed RAZR. I did attempt to replace the screen but whilst the digitiser now works the screen is all messed up (note: maybe because I used a verizon branded screen on a UK RAZR)... so I bought replacement off eBay. The ad said 16 GB but what arrived was an 8GB phone. The seller has offered a £10 refund to buy an 8GB SD card.

What's the best way to copy everything from the old RAZR to the new one?
The old one is: 651.167.26.XT910.Retail.en.EU (6.5.1-167-SPU-15-M2-3)
The new one: I get an error message "com.android.phone" has stopped working every time I hit "About phone"

Any help really appreciated, particularily as I need to accept/reject the seller's offer sometime soon.
Thanks,
Alan

With the digitiser working I can now use the phone viewing the display via HDMI mirroring. But it's still a bit of guesswork as to where to press on the screen.

I've rebooted with wifi off (thanks XDA) and now do not get the com.android.phone error and can see the "about phone" page:

New Phone: 651.73.17.XT910.Retail.en.EU (6.5.1.1-73_SPU-9)

Thanks,
Alan
