I only ever owned one ambled screen phone and it was the Lumia 800, which I got rid of after a week because the screen was horrid.

The only other LCD screen I have seen that is as pedestrian as the Z was on the htc Titan.

And as far as being a kid, I'm probably older than your mother, so why don't you go back to being a mediocre graphics designer...

I'm getting mine on monday, so i'm really excited. Changing out my GN for the Z.
It's nice that the phone comes with the charging base here in Norway.

Just hoping for a car holder from Sony real soon.

Ok, So I visited sony center today as the stocks and demo unit were available. I played with the demo unit for quite sometime and here are my impressions.

Good:
1. The phone is beautiful to look at from all sides.
2. Gives a premium feel on hand and so light in weight
3. Absolutely smooth navigation and interface.

Bad:
1. The screen looked good initially at first look but then I noticed the brightness was set to full. I set it to adaptive brightness mode and the screen looked really washed out. Another person who was demoing the unit said his sony xperia s has a better looking display than this. So the screen is meeting my expectations only at full brightness which is not practical. Mind you this is indoors then you can imagine how worse it will be outdoors . From side angles yes there was considerable color and brightness shift but not a major issue

2. Next the speakers. The showroom was not silent at the same time it was not very loud. I played some trailers and songs that were present on the phone. When I hold them at a watchable level I cannot hear the audio clearly and loud enough. Big letdown. I am sure in a busy place I won't be able to hear incoming calls.

Before anybody thinks I am a harsh critic I pre-ordered this phone several days back and I am now thinking what to do with the money that is stuck in the sony center.

The speaker sound output has gotta do nothing with incoming sound call... The sound in all Xperia phone is adequate not very loud...
But for incoming calls there is a different earphone speaker... Along with Active Background Noise Cancellation (your voice will be clear even in loud atmosphere)... The in call sound output in all Xperia is very loud and clear...
And loudspeaker output is not compared with in-call speaker output
