It only gets hot right after I boot after flashing the rom, it does not happen with stock kernel. It goes back down to normal temperature after a few mins though. I've tried this on both arhd and leedroid with full wipes, it doesn't happen with bricked only franco and faux. And I did do a full wipe everytime.
Franco got really hot after just browsing on tapatalk for some reason. then played a bit of Temple run and still got hot under the cam. bit of battery drain as well due to some wakelocks which i did not had on other kernel..moved over to faux kernel as i heard a few people being happy with that so i thought i try it out..great so far and phone sleeps like a baby.
but it will take a few more weeks till we see all custom kernels to their full potential..think of now as the laying the foundations period for bigger and better things
I'm trying faux right now it was hot when it first booted but now its around 35C mind telling me your normal battery temp? I'm not sure if this is a safe temp or if its too hot still.
See I also using an app called core control that let's you set how many cores you want active. At the moment I have two on. You can find that app in themes and apps section. Also using a CPU app to control frequency. So max is 1.5ghz and min 304mhz. That's why is more cooler
And fours hours with 90% now and one hour screen on time.
