Since dirty flashing this ROM over S3Rx, the battery drain has been 10-20% per hour. Time to do a full wipe and re-flash!

Aside from battery drain, the ROM is stable and I like it!

LoserRom -> S3Rx -> deTmobilized (I'm so spoiled by you guys that I don't even want to flash someone's ROM! :victory:)

I came from AOKP, do a full wipe. All is working excellent, but I notice one weird thing. In candy crusher game the phone goes In slow motion on different lapses. I then change to the kt kernel, but also has the same issue. When I was on AOKP I don't had that problem.

its not the ROM...I am running need for speed racing game flawlessly....

did you clear cache,clear data,after noticing your problem?

My bad, I was able to install the Dark YouTube but no matter what I do I am not able to get the Blue Inverted one to work. Actually, I end up with NO version of YouTube when I select the blue one. I've tried full wiping and even flashing the app separately from the S3Rx thread. Nothing seems to be working.

Anyone actually using the Blue Inverted version?

Ok...i've googled and tested and googled and tested and.......you get the picture.

I THINK i have flash installed on my phone running this ROM....I selected it in the Aroma installer, it shows up on my apps list....BUT, it doesn't appear to be working, or at least not for several sites. I've tried Firefox, Opera Mobile and a hacked Dolphin browser that I found on XDA. Made sure that "Flash player" was always on in respective browser, changed user agent from Android to Desktop.....no love. I know Flash support was discontinued on JellyBean, but have I missed the "flash is very hit and miss, even if you've taken the appropriate steps to enable it" announcement?

For reference, one site that was suggested for testing was monoface.com (some kind of crazy face morphing animation). My main purpose is trying to enable this on my wife's phone for a website she needs for work.

PS...She is not rooted. Even if you guys are able to help me, do I need to root her phone or is there a non-rooted way? (I THINK i installed a Flash APK on her phone....doesn't appear in app list so I'm guessing I may have answered my own question there).

Thanks for any help!

I noticed that I accidentally left it in a zip. So it won't copy the inverted blue. But I have it fixed for next release.

So I converted from S3Rx and have been toying with this masterpiece for the last few days.

This rom kinda blows my mind! Best port I have ever seen, and I have seen a few.

Pretty awesome when the only gripe I have is there is no clear button on the pull down menu to get rid of all your alerts/notifications at once ha ha.

I found the stock kernel wasn't tickling my fancy (heat and battery drain) so I went back to the faux 023m kernel and have been laughing since.

P.s. Multi Window + E's Note II keyboard Rox my Sox.

The clear button is on the top right next to the settings button. It looks like three brick lines.

Do you get any errors or does it just not do anything? If a contact has more than one email, and you set one of them as default, swiping to call will not work. And that's on all TW ROMs.

Seems to be a little bit buggy for me as well now that you mention it. If you plant your thumb on bit real good and let the contact light up and then swipe over to the right it seems to work well

The swipe right to call is not working as before, if you touch in the middle and then swipe left slightly then back right will give you the swipe call function :eek:

I've tried finding a fix plenty of times for this and I don't think there is one. I've tried formatting internal SD with twrp and cwm I've done factory reset via stock ROM with internal and ext format SD. Did Odin reflash stock worked for 2 days and still nothin. Now I just keep it simple upload pics to drop box after photosnap makes easier to know what pics have been added

Seems to work consistently for me.....but only if I start my swipe near the middle of the contact line....if I go too far left, gets sketchy.

thanks for the replies, i think the swipe to right to call is working for me now. i did 2 things, first the contact had 2 numbers, i removed one of them, and also tried swiping from the middle of the row instead of extreme left as i was trying earlier. and its working for me every time i try now.

The swipe to call on jelly bean 4.1.2 they either changed it or can be there own glitch just so everyone knows which I did post this before if you look in contacts list see the avatar or picture you add it to the left corner well for swipe to make call you need to swipe after the avatar or picture there don't touch the avatar, swipe next to it and works emen if you can I would post this in first thread for those that don't know about the swipe to call.:)

    It's kinda important I just noticed and fixed an issue with the other kernels, I still can't guarantee there performance but I've done all I can.
    Can't say for sure, because I never had an issue but might have fixed issue with the AOSP gallery/camera app and flashplayer being copied to the sdcard/S3Rx_apps.

    FAQ/Issues

    KNOWN ISSUES:
    • Aroma might hang during installation. Hold power button until it reboots. It will reboot right back into recovery so don't worry.
    • Aroma's color might be off sometimes.
    • The Play/Pause function of "Music controls" does not currently work once the phone goes into deep sleep. Which is about 3 seconds. Need someone skilled with kernel development to give us a hand on this one.
    • AOSP Mms has a bug that when selecting your own contact in a message thread, it will force close the contacts app
    • A WiFi calling popup will show when setting up your WiFi for the first time.
    • Battery Notifications might be a little screwey the first charge. Might have to toggle the setting once you actually have a full charge and the notification, then unplug. If turned off the Notifications should be gone from now on.
    • Be careful using the volume up key when taking pictures with Best photo. It might cause issues. The on screen button works fine, and the volume key works fine in all other modes.
    • Tell us if you notice anything else.

    GPS:


    GPS not locking: Unfortunately This is going to happen to some when coming from AOSP based ROMs and other carrier ports.

    A couple common fixes include...

    1. Easiest and most reliable way. Try this first!
    • Enter the Samsung service mode by typing this code into the dial pad *#197328640#
    • Then go to Mainmenu>UMTS>Common>NV REBUILD>NV REBUILD> (Important: don't exit the menu yet!)
    • Wait 30+ sec
    • Long press power button and select "Restart / Reboot"
    • Now check your GPS from any software that may use GPS like "Maps" or "GPS Status"...

    2. Returning to the stock ROM via ODIN, acquire a GPS lock then reboot into Recovery.. Wipe and Flash new ROM.
    I recommend trying Chainfire's MOBILE ODIN first before the desktop version, it's really easy to use and it's free to XDA users HERE.
    You can flash an ODIN package right from your phone and still retain your custom recovery, simply exclude it from the list of partitions to flash.
    It will also inject ROOT if the ODIN package does not already have it... makes things really simple.

    3. Restoring a nandroid of a TouchWiz ROM with a known working GPS status, make sure all location services are enables and can obtain a GPS lock. (go to additional steps now if needed) Reboot, Wipe and Flash New ROM...
    Additional steps if required before flashing new ROM:
    Backup your internal storage and take out your sd-card now... just in case stuff gets deleted. Do a Factory Reset form within the restored TW nandroid. Reboot... Skip all the setup stuff... acquire a GPS lock again... Reboot into recovery Wipe and Flash the new ROM.

    4. Flash back to the AOSP ROM you were just on. Obtain a GPS lock, then reinstall ROM again and see if GPS works

    5. Repeat until one of the options ends up working... Not much else to tell you to try. Good luck!

    GPS and Location Services: If you have Google Maps installed and Google Now, you will notice Maps uses your location services a lot during the day. Apparently Google thinks we need our location tracked 24/7. Turning GPS on only when needed will help eliminate the wakelocks created by maps. Going a step further you may also want to disable the "Use Network Location", This will also stop other apps form getting your location... Most apps will let you enter your location manually so it's not really a big deal turning it off, especially when your talking about increasing your battery life.

    Call Recording

    Okay everyone, I know you have been waiting a long time to have call recording back so I think you have waited long enough. :good:

    I can't take full credit for this as I stumbled upon it in this thread here LINK I want to thank agriff for figuring out which apk works. I've tried many many SecPhone.apk's from many many different builds form the international and so forth but never tried one form the 4.1.1 Canadian build. This is my modified stock VLDLK4 SecPhone.apk with working Call Record. Using this build actually gives us two benefits. One, Call Recording works! Two, it gets rid of more of the sip WiFi calling stuff that we don't need and can't use anyway.

    So far in my test it is working perfectly and all recorded calls are saved in the sdcard/Sounds

    Just a reminder that it will take about 5 minutes after a reboot before it will let you record. The media scanner runs at boot and takes about 3 minutes or so to complete, and it won't record till this process is done

    Sorry for all the updates. I hate building and uploading just as much as you hate downloading. HAHAHA

    Anyway thank you everyone for testing.

    1. Fixed the default ROM install in the test upload. If you even noticed. LOL
    2. Fixed a few grammar errors in AROMA.
    3. Added the new Google Maps
    4. Replaced some wallpapers in the default wallpaper app with some prettier ones.

    I know it's nothing exciting. I just want to make sure the installer is proper and error free. I spent a lot of time looking at all the code, so I hope I got all my tiny typo's. The installer should be almost perfect, it runs 100% of the time for me with no errors. I made sure the installer will do everything so it should be noob proof. I myself am not perfect and I'm not a great typist so I make little errors all the time I don't catch right away. Usually not in the code but when it come to the stuff you need to read, but that should be all fixed now. LOL :p

    Other then a few bugs that Samsung needs to fix, There shouldn't be any real issues with this build. We hope to add a few more mods, more theming options and whatever else we find along the way to improve the ROM. But for now it's pretty damn solid and offers a lot of choices. So I think this one is good enough to change the OP.
