still not sure what to do.. get it now on att so i can have a chance if/when they hack it and so i can keep the hack/bootloader open before they patch it up.. dont want to wait then they will ship out with the newest update in it already and cant be unlocked
It looks like that AT&T version of the Note 2 shipped with an unlocked bootloader. It was posted in another thread that Sprint and T-mobile don't lock their bootloaders either. So it appears as though Verizon is the only one doing this nonsense.
Of course, previous history doesn't mean it will happen again. It's ALWAYS best to be an early adopter:
1) You have a minimum of 15 days to return the phone. If your bootloader is still locked at the end of two weeks and this is completely unacceptable to you, you can return the phone at full price.
2) Most exploits happen on pre-release kernels and first retail versions of software on a device. The longer you wait to pick up a device, the more chance it has of being locked down.
3) The bootloader might be still locked, but the device may get rooted in that 15 days (the current status of the VZN SGS4 ME7 build). This would be completely acceptable to me while I wait for devs to find a way around the bootloader.
I'm a flashaholic, but the N3 is over $700 with tax. I can wait for them to get it right.
is rollin' wit...
