Im coming from the 3-13 build and I have done a full wipe (including system) x3, have also tried with system mounted and unmounted, but whenever I install the 3-23 build and the 3-17 GApps it hangs at the splash screen and never reaches the boot animation.

Don't know if it matters but I have a custom splash screen as well.

+1....and the crazy thing is that I had it installed for a day and accidentally deleted it and now it won't install/boot up no matter how I try it, alone or on top of 3-13.

Is anyone else having camera problems? Getting a " camera has stopped unexpectedly" when I try to open the app.

3/23 build won't flash. md5's match, and whenever I try to flash it (in both 4ext and cwm), it takes like 5 seconds, and when I reboot it stays at the splash screen.

EDIT: scratch that, forgot to mount /system...

MMS still doesn't send or receive in this build even when using the apn widget method. I need MMS to work otherwise this would be my DD. What can we do to get this to work?

Always remember.... Alphas, betas, WIP, and test builds are not always 100% stable. The devs do their best to fix bugs, but CM9 is still far from a release canidate.

So if you need your phone for work, school, emergencies, porn addiction, etc. You may want to use a gingerbread ROM for a while.

If MMS wouldn't have worked in earlier builds I wouldn't have even brought it up. Are we not supposed to report things that don't work.or that are broken so the devs know? Isn't that the whole purpose of the developer section so things can be developed?

I'm not saying anything bad about your post. Of course bugs should be posted (unless it's a known issue). I'm just saying a lot of people (maybe not you) run betas and test builds on their only phone. If the ROM still has bugs, this isn't always a good idea.

 Anyway, since it was posted that MMS was working in this build, maybe Aero will have some insight as to why its not and have a possible fix. Just need it to work for my job and would hate to stop using ics.

MMS

I was able to get MMS working by using this post as a guide and also putting the VZW MMS APN settings in GoSMS

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1525427

Install GoSMS pro. Then backup your sms data using the app function.

(I think you need to be in GoSMS Pro mode for this)

Now using titanium backup delete data for:
-[SMS/MMS/APN]
-[SMS/MMS preferences]

Now reboot and then restore messages from GoSMS pro.

You may lode you previous MMS photos when you restore.

Hi, I decided to start an official post here on XDA too since the ICS thread over in general is getting rather large.

    Downloads:
    ROM:
    GApps:
    Directions:
    1. Wipe Data, Cache, and system
    2. Flash the ROM
    3. Flash GApps
    4. Reboot into the system (first boot will take several minutes)

If you are having issues flashing, try a CM9 based CWM:

    What's Currently Broken:
    • Face unlock may not work until FFC has been used in the Camera app.
    • Market download issues: su, and then killall drmserver in the terminal (needs to be done after each reboot if you are still having issues)
    • ... Let me know what else :)

If you like what I do, hit thanks or donate to a poor college student :)

So I got jellybean/CM10 to build, but there are still lots of issues (no audio, softlights, or sensors). But 3G and GPS and most other things seemed to work.

    Kxqee.png

I'm still really busy with other things, but jellybean will definitely happen for our phone :)

EDIT: I'm uploading the build to a cm10 folder in my goo.im hosting, but you need to rm camera.msm7x30.so, lights.vivow.so, and sensors.vivow.so in /system/lib/hw/ for it to boot.

Here are some gapps that worked for me:
    http://goo.im/apps/teamgummy/gapps-4.1.1-Kejar31-20120713.zip

And my upload will be in http://goo.im/devs/aeroevan/cm10/ but it will take about an hour to finish uploading...

Hopefully they release source soon. I saw HTC one got source release.

That still isn't for our device :(

I'm working on using the new camera blobs, but even those can't just be dropped in. I had to add a few camera parameters in frameworks/base but the preview isn't starting... http://pastebin.com/ZsxsGHcm and the camera app crashes :(

I have a few ideas, but I had a phone interview today (which went well) so I couldn't break my phone ;)

I've also been working on getting low power audio (LPA) working, but there are still a few bugs there too.

I just sync'd and am doing a fresh build now, but don't expect any magic :)
There were a few display hal updates, but nothing too big.

Are we going to see anything done with Jelly bean and this rom?

I'll definitely do builds once I get a chance, but I've been really busy lately :(
