[Q] Chrome Beta crashes for me on CM10 or AOKP ROMS

Hey guys,

I'm having a strange problem. I'm trying to use a custom ROM, right now just the stock CM10 nightlies. I used to be running TeamVenom's 3.2.2 Sense ROM, but I like the control and lean-ness I have with CM10 so I went back to it. In the mean time I started using the Chrome Beta browser and really like it. However on CM10 it does not work. It crashes immediately on startup. This is true for any ROM based on CM10 or AOKP. However it seems to work fine on Sense based ROMS. When installing the CM10 or AOKP ROMS I have wiped everything, including the "SD card" in TWRP.

Anyone else having this issue?

I have the exact same problem. It will load for a split-second then crash out with no error.

Since we're not on Stock, there's no Google support either. No idea what's causing it nor how to fix it. Rather unfortunate as I am currently in the process of migrating from Opera to Chrome (both for desktop and phone).

Running AOKP 4.1 M1 on Rogers One X(L).

I'm pretty sure this is just a known issue with any cm10 based rom (e.g. cm10, aokp) from what I've seen it's been fixed in cm10.1 which has been going through a lot of progress lately.
