[MIiui.us]MIUI/ICS port [unlocked] 5/19/2012

Just flashed over my fresh install of .30. Everything seems great, I have not seen the phantom voicemail icon either. The only thing that I'm having a problem with is MIUI weather, it won't locate me by GPS. I was on vacation over the weekend and everything was good, love the force roaming that joker put in CM9 that is here. I was pulling signal where my wife's epic was searching and bouncing between sprint and roaming

Did a fresh install of 2.4.6 this morning and so far it looks good. I got one com.android.process unexpextedly stopped that popped up once but everything still worked. Havent found any issues yet and all my apps reloaded with titanium backup....even the few that wouldnt when i first flashed this rom 2.3.16.

Still waiting for themeing like everyone else and hoping that the storage will eventually be selectable between internal/sd card.

Best we will have for storage is once MIUI adds that in...I tried to find that in the CM9 framework, and it was like a needle in a stack of needles...I'm still trying to figure out smali code. For now, I will make an EMMC primary zip this afternoon sometime (please don't use one from previous build...framework-res changed a bunch, and I don't know if it will bork anything on you). If you have that fc come up again, if you can get me a logcat, that'd be great. Thanks

Flashed over .30 and everything that was working still seems to be. Haven't done a whole lot with the phone today though.

I was playing with my old desire yesterday and saw a miui ics rom for it, and had it to give it a try.....wow whoever built this rom used a method I have never seen before in android, from within recovery while flashing it popped with questions on how I wanted to install (ie data++, ext4 part and such) also what storage to use as primary, and what apps you wanted to install with it and wether or not to bind to /system apps... it was all touch controlled from within recovery (same clockwork recovery we use not the touch version). Just wanted to share this info with the devs (if you didnt know about it) its really neat and would be awesome way of building your rom, then people can choose what apps to include and what to use for primary and such

i think what we need is someone to make a theme based on OUR ROM'S themer and framework,size, etc any takers...lol

was looking into to doing a theme from scratch...and actually did

...just threw something togther to see if it would work, but after doing alot of research its a miui issu not a theme issue, most themes will work, however the status bar, dialer..ect.. wont theme. until that bug is worked out, we have half themes....

btw, i will try to make a special theme for this rom, but if anyone else wants to jump in, feel free...I found a nifty program on xda for miui theme building. simplifies the process...any help with designs is greatly appreciated

yeah but only to play movies on your sdcard it wonnt let you rent or buy or view movies from market because it sees you are rooted

did you restore it or download from market?
i would try uninstalling and down it from market and then see what happens
I can confirm this I just deleted it with titanium then downed it from market opens np's

I just uninstalled it the reinstalled it, but it works now, and but is actually pretty pointless app being rooted.

yeah we need a root hider app for the Photon.....
they do have an app that will remove root temporarily so you can use non Root apps a reboot returns root IDK if the Photon is supported though.....
