To my surprise, I received a comment back from the dev on this Google+, an email also, stating that an update will be coming "very soon" to fix nearly all/any bugs. Not sure if this is real or not since he hasn't commented or updated anything anywhere else, but thought this might give people some hope.

That is interesting--I wonder if anything will come of it. I liked some of those "7" apps enough to purchase some. Nice simple look to them. If nothing else, the Windows phone interface is clean and elegant.

Is there anybody that can mantain this app (asking permission to dev) ?

Because I have sent a private message to him, no answer...and this thread it's abandoned...why!!! This is the only app that reached to port perfect wp7 style on android message....I love that and I need that "fixes" that developer mentioned in that message...

Please, tell me if there is a change or I can go crazy...:crying:

I just switched from a Samsung Apollo to a Samsung Discover (Cricket) and HATE the new messaging ap in ICS. I have only used your ap for a couple of days but I'm already very impressed and very happy. The only bug I've hit is one time I was typing a message in portrait and rotate to landscape and the screen got garbled; there was a white text entry box at the bottom of the screen but the text appeared in black at the top across the recipient's name. I was going to replicate it and attach a screenshot but it is working fine now.

Is there something I am doing wrong or should i re-download the app? I have unlimited texts so is not an account problem. ..

Still a real bummer that development stopped. There's clearly interest. I checked the G+ page today and people were still commenting on it to ask about updates as of two days ago.

Messaging Metro Beta looked ever so slightly slicker than this app, but neither of them actually work anymore and it seems like both have long been abandoned, which is too bad because they were both so close to being pretty much perfect.

I really hope at least one of them starts back up. Or maybe they should just combine. I bet it'd be way easier if they shared development as opposed to two people separately trying to achieve the same goal.

    Hi,
    the app apk attached here is not a full version release or daily usable app. This one i built just to see how it will look like.
    There are lots of things to be done to make it useful on daily basis.
    So please watch this thread to get further information on developement, Might be in 1-2 weeks you will get something useful on market.

    This is awesome!! Although I'm not a big fan of WP7, I like to see the customization of Android and how it can look like any OS!!

    New updates will be there on market.
    I will mimic complete WP7 experience with this app, even i would like to see how it will look like on Android.
    Trying to implement Voice Actions just like WP7 messaging has in my another app POPUP 7.
    Once it is done will try to implement same here also.
    One with ads and one without ads versions will be soon on market.
