[Q] After downgrade to an older firmware, how to upgrade?
I'm just new to xda and android and liked to do a nandroid backup.
So I read about it and find out, that there isn't any way to do so, without install/flashing/? a Custom Recovery, such like ClockworkMod Recovery, is it?.
So I get ROM Manager from GPlay Store, but it didn't find my phone. Then I downloaded RecoverX from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1773227
) and run it. But this needs root. I think, there isn't any way to use ClockworkMod Recovery without having root, is it?
I try to get root, reading here in that great forum, but it seems, there isn't any way to root my SE Xperia Pro, because it has a Build-Number 4.0.2.A.0.69, and you can only root *.42. There it says, you can flash that firmware, using flashtool (http://flashtool.net
). I found a *.42 firmware here: http://dexxmor.de.to/
So here my main question: After I flashed that firmware and root my phone, how to upgrade to the x.69 one? They all say, that this will be done by "OTA". But my Phone has GB and could have ICS (I didn't upgrade). So when I do so, after that, I would have ICS, right?
Sorry for that n00b question and my bad english
PS: Sorry, if i posted in a wrong forum. I didn't found a Pro/Sony General one.
