Refuse v1.7

PSA: Thank you to all that have PM'ed me, chatted at me in IRC and the fans of this ROM. This is a quick PSA to let everyone know where I am at right now.

I will be waiting until the official gingerbread from AT&T is released before creating a new ROM. When I do, it will be based on the same idea with Refuse.

Light, Battery-Loving, and Quick.

More to come in the near future.

Change Log below.

Installation:
If you are coming from another ROM, manually wipe data and cache via CWM before installing.

Download Refuse_v1.7_CWM.zip.
Copy to /sdcard
Reboot into Recovery (Red, Green, doesn't matter!)
Install zip from SD
Choose Refuse_v1.7_CWM.zip
First boot will be slow. If you do not currently use a ROM with a Voodoo Kernel, it will take a bit longer.

ROM: Removed BLN app (disabled in kernel)
ROM: Stay Awake option added under Settings -> Applications -> Development.
ROM: Added 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and Never to Screen timeout option in Settings.

Removed SMS and MMS from Call Logs in Phone application.
Removed /data wiping, fixing issues flashing. Your apps are safe .

Fixed remainder of issues in updater-script.

Fixed /data permissions that were messed up in the updater-script.

Per user comments, I've returned all the information, downloads, and screenshots back to XDA!
ROM re-based on UCKE3 (no more update pop-ups)
Includes Voodoo Control Free app in /data/app (so you can remove/update/upgrade to Pro)
Includes BLN Control Free app in /data/app (so you can remove/update/upgrade to Pro)
CWM Script updated to wipe data to keep flashing issues from occurring. Don't forget to backup your apps and app data!

based on gtg465x's kernel / initramfs.

i will flash this rom just for this 100% battery icon. no need to install another app for % battery!
does it has "soft reset" option when you press the power button?

Also does this rom have the normal Market or the custom AT&T one? If it has the AT&T market please consider changing it for the basic one.

EDIT: One more question... Any plans to include the versions of the stock apps that will resize if we change the screen density?

The unbranded market is also on my list to do.

As far as the resizable stock apps, I will test and add those to the next version

Any idea on how to get this to work with Mac os? Don't feel like spending $200 for Windows.

You could use a live linux cd and execute odin under wine. (haven't tested)

im about to test heimdall on linux, macosx may have issues but really shouldnt. the origonal bootloaders on the sgs couldnt be seen by macosx. it should work now as they fixed the bootloaders on the sgs line so a mac can see the phone in download mode, i would imagine that what they changed in the bootloaders made it's way into this phone as well.

edit: heimdall works great on linux. should work equally great on macosx. best thing about terminal based os is no drivers needed. so it is actually easier than doing it in windows.

Thanks for all your efforts to bring us a rom and stock packages. Maybe this will get the ball rolling. What exactly is the bloatware that you removed. Ive deleted all my useless preloaded apps, am I missing a bunch?
