in my opinion there's no remarkable difference between the current roms in speed, and it depends on kernel etc too..
Thank you for replying.
I understand there's no "absolute best", but performance can be measured (with benchmarks) and there has to be one which is faster than the others. That said, I think you're right that it depends on kernel more than on rom. With Sense and Google Edition roms and kernels there are a lot of combinations to try, and I was just hoping someone had already done some testing and found a good (fast) combination.
Right now I am with Revolution 20.1 (4.3 with Sense) and it's faster than stock, but I can't flash a custom kernel (I want to so that I could OC) since none has yet uploaded a 4.3 sense kernel (there are only Google Edition 4.3 kernels).
I figured I'd make the switch to GE as it should increase performance, I think GE should be faster compared to sense anyway, shouldn't it? What do you think?
And yes I really care about even the slightest increase
The benchmark thread isn't good, many don't post their configurations or setups and run different benchmarks so the data is unreliable.. What I meant was that I wish there was a fair benchmark conducting thread in which only the stock rom settings are compared to one another, speed-wise..
