did this fix the random reboot and sleep of death from .13 can anyone confirmed this? i'm not upgrading into i hear this since i downgrade to .11 just because of this problem.

Possibly. Not sure as I never had those issues. I do know this update addressed battery drain issues. It gave us back the lower power states from before and enabled 1.4Ghz again. It could be possible it fixed what you said. Only thing seemed to change is kernel. Everything else is same version. Its worth trying out. You know you can always revert back of it didn't fix it. Good luck

Just finish with the installation.
No problems with the installation.

i'm checking the battery now.
will update as soon as i will have results.

i still have the battery drain issue.
after 2.5 hours and the battery went from 100% to 89%.
i have no application installed. (can't blame them)

Don't know what is worse that EU have been completely abandoned, or that NA are being used as Guinea pigs. This prime is starting to feel like a megatron.

Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using XDA Premium App

What are you talking about? WW version will be out tomorrow as per usual with all previous updates except the last one that nvidia managed to f*ck up by sending ASUS sub-standard code.

I'm going to shut up now and let everyone continue to lose their memory of how the update has always worked in the past.

What are you talking about? Lmao if that's with constant use after this latest update, then that's good battery life. You used 10% of battery in 2.5hrs. That's great..lol usually battery drains 10% per hour for me. Now if you left your tablet alone, didn't touch it or use it at all, and was in deep sleep for 2.5hrs. And drained that much, then you have battery drain. Doubt though, have a feeling you were constantly using it or messing with it. ;)

Update is working great for me n battery lasting longer now since we have the lower power states back..

If you using the tablet n got 2.5hrs out of only going from 100-89%. That's no reason to complain at all. You should be more than happy with that. What do you think, you should get 5 hrs. Out of tablet using that lil bit of battery? Lmao. Different story if it was in deep sleep the whole time and drained like that. Plus web surfing and playing games will drain the battery the most right after screen brightness...just f.y.I.

I'm guessing the 2.5 hrs the tab wasnt in use ?

otherwise you can expect near 25hrs use !

That's what I'm saying..lmao I had to point out those details in my post. I'm pretty sure he was constantly using it and checking stats n surfing web here the whole time..lol

WW is not for all.
I have sadly a DE one, and unless I do some trick, I have to wait several days to get it.

I wished I could turm mine into WW, so I would get rid of this German fw.

How do you know the WW update is due tmrw?

He just explained it. All previous updates followed exact same pattern of updating after u.s. release.

Just received .14 update

After install, I tried to post in the lockup/reset thread, but mine locked up and reset. So I posted there (I haven't found a way to crosspost). I will be watching closely to see if it happens again. I think that some cleanup was done after the update, as the TFP was very slow at first, but seems to be humming along now.

Did .14 Fix GPS?

I am one of those lucky ones who had a fully-functioning Prime until the .13 update crippled my GPS.

Please let me know if anyone else has the same issue and if so, was it fixed by the .14 f/w.

Thanks for your time.

I love this forum!

Screen tearing gone?

Don't want to speak too soon, but it seems like the diagonal tearing is gone.

It was happening very consistently for me when I would bring up the recent apps column. A diagonal tear would flash accross the left side of the screen.

I cannot get it to do it now after the update.

I am in Taiwan. Got my new firmware, too. I didn't even realize there was a new update until some one in a forum mentioned that. Totally no problem using Voodoo to apply root back.

Another thing that probably not related to the new firmware, the "Apps backup" in my stock rom fails to function and it's been a while. I think it's kind of happened after I rooted my prime in the previous version. Anyone has the same problem? I don't need the stock app back any way. Just curious why it happened.

Well it's more a princip case.. they seems more interested in NA. No offense, but our Euros are as good as dollars :)

The WW/DE/CN releases will be out early next week, probably by Tuesday at the latest. Each release has to go through Google CTS and they are presented at the same time.

All these people with next to no posts moaning that the update isn't available in europe. You should know that until .13 the WW update always came out after the US update. I called it that we wouldn't see a WW .13 update when it failed to materialize the following day after the US got it. I'm glad that ASUS didn't release it to the rest of the world. I'm sure we'll see the WW .14 tomorrow.

I'm seeing scattered posts throughout the threads this morning saying speed went up, speed went down, and speed stayed the same. In my personal experience, it stayed the same but I'm at work on a really bad connection so that's not the best test -- although I can attest that the update didn't improve my performance on this mediocre network at all so nobody pulled a magic rabbit out of a hat as far as that is concerned.

I think its all placebo effects...lol update didn't even change wifi version
