Samsung Note II with fake IMEI
I'm from Italy and I have a problem with a friend's Note 2 7100. It has the fake IMEI : 004999010640000/01 recognised, and also, every time I power up the phone it crash Factory Test application, and sometimes when I'm use it too. He don't have the EFS backup so I tried to do an Hard reset flashing back the stock firmware without rooting or something else. The problems started after a rom flash: he give to me all the file that he used:
PIT_N7100_16GB_20121102.pit (Andromeda pit file)
odin (as expected
Triangle away (to reset counters, right!?)
(I've found also another file called radio_v10a.zip with in a baseband.img file!! It's probably that he flashed a wrong baseband!?)
I want to fix first of all Factory test application because it sound that some things are disabled, right!? Yesterday I've flashed a no-rooted firmware and today my PC don't recognise the note2 (...mmm factory test!?):
Android Version 4.1.2
Baseband Version: N7100XXDLK7
Build Version: JZO54K.N7100XXDMC3
The serial number is recognised and it's correct.
I'm in a "glass of water" (italian dixit) because I've read a lot of post and threads but I didn't understand wich is the correct way to fix that problem. I hope that someone can help me!! I want to fix Factory Test problem first then I would try to flash the DME4 modem because I've read that it fix some IMEI problems. Anyone can help me!?
P.S. = Sorry for my english
After flashing DME4 all went good!! Original IMEI come back!! But the problem about factory test are not resolved, i tried this in Terminal emulator:
echo -n ON >> /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
echo -n ON >> /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
chown 1000.1000 /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
chown 1000.1000 /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
chmod 0744 /efs/FactoryApp/keystr
chmod 0744 /efs/FactoryApp/factorymode
Also, wich firmware you think it's the best now!?
EDIT: Factory test problem persist after a hard reset, 2 wipe per type...
