GB27 was not released by Sprint because of the size of the update. Just imagine 100,000+ users all updating over the air with a ROM that is 800 something megabytes. That is A LOT of bandwidth being used. So instead, Samsung pushed the update via Kies.
And if you do not want to root the phone I suggest using Kies for the update. Just instsll Kies then connect the E4GT with a USB cable and Kies will tell you an update is available. Proceed with the update and wait until it completes.

Sorry, just wanted to make sure. JB is too big and requires repartitioning, so no OTA. I use the one - click, but it will wipe the internal SD card. Kies will back it up I believe.

The Galaxy S3 shipped with a larger system partition, the update was small compared to the S2 because it did not need to be re-partitioned. They were able to push an OTA update using patch files.
