turn around!
did not know about the restriction, as I commented on development threads for almost all of my comments(save for a handful in more recent times).

I found it out the hard way, since I wanted to post here and the site wouldn't let me.

Yeah, that's a recent restriction added, must be some issues with it atm and not working correctly.

But since that user's phone is a X10i ... don't think we can help him anyways lmao

Hey all, quick question.

Im not sure if this is a rom issue or most likely a google mapps issue, just looking to see if there is a fix.

I live in NY and the gps seems to work great with GSB, the only issue is there is one small section of the expressway (gowanus) that I take home from work everyday that seems to not be able to be picked up by the gps. The gps states a message that no known route information is available. It happens for about a 5-6 mile stretch.

Is there anything I can do to fix it or just wait for google map updates. It was working fine on gsb up until 1.8. It started with 1.81 & 1.9. I have yet to try 2.0. I did full wipes after each.

Thanks

I was wondering why Car Home doesn't work like it did on 1.6. I used to use it before but now it doesn't do anything except put a notification up.

So the problem is that the launcher apk is in gingerbread, but the actual program is missing. I posted the apk before and it is posted in the op in the tazz gingerbread thread. However, after i flashed the new gapps, car home WORKS PERFECTLY for me. It would be nice to have another person confirm though.

Did you go into the market and check for a maps update? I know they just updated it recently. I updated the gapps link in the OP to the newest one if you wanna download it and flash.

Thx for GSB v2.0

Shed,

Just flashed 2.0 (jumped from 1.7) the new Gapps and Cache2cache; looking good so far.
Thanks for the great work. Paypay is delivering beer money as we speak... ;)

Hmm, i didn't realize there was a new Cache2cache. I just flashed the older version after flashing 2.0. Is it worth re-flashing C2C, or would i have to re-wipe and re-flash everything to see any changes? Thanks.

Just updated from 1.7. Everything is great so far... except i have no lockscreen? I did full wipe install gapps and all. Like i said everything else is working just dandy. This happened before a while back but other stuff was broke too. A rewipe install fixed it that time. This time however the lockscreen missing is the only issue. I know its not a rom issue. Any ideas how to fix the lockscreen without having to wipe install again

Sorry. The "new" referred only to the new gapps, I used the same xtrcache2cache that we've been using all along, the one for CM6 and CM7 roms. I should have been clearer in my msg.

And you can reflash cache2cache at any time. When you reboot, my understanding is that the script will remake the link between the two cache locations.

    || Do a full wipe of data+dalvik...
    || Flash GSB...
    || REBOOT...
    || let phone settle for a bit, come back and setup...

Yell out in joy, that our End of Life Eris has GB on it! :D

    THINGS TO NOTE:

Gallery3D was removed in 4.5-Final because the ICS rotations added to the cm repos borked it.
Please download & install QuickPic after flash if you want to view pictures.

Do NOT flash gapps: it will remove Maps 5.2 and then you're on your own if the new Maps gives you problems.
Google Search icon is missing: just apply the "ice cream san" theme in the app drawer.

    FIXES/CHANGELOG

    v4.5-Final
    • This will be my final release for this phone. It's been fun!
    • Sync'd with cm repos and freshly compiled
    • REMOVED the 3Dgallery: the ICS rotations borked it, download and install QuickPic
    • added all the ring lock styles
    • added disable scrolling-cache
    • added custom carrier label
    • added ICS transitions
    • added improved scrolling cache [ported from ICS]
    • made the ICS theme default upon initial flash
    • updated vending to Google Play

    v4.4 Fixes/Changes
    • Bumped to RC1
    • Chinese characters should be fixed
    • Cleaned up framework
    • Updated some apps

    • Fixed Minimal Lockscreen Style
    • Quicker screen off animation (reboot phone after initial setup)
    • Overall smaller footprint
    v4.2 Fixes/Changes
    • No more LauncherPro: Until Fede updates LP, I am going with Go-launcher as stock. I'm sorry if this disappoints anyone.
    • Theme packages are on sdcard in "GSB-Extras" you must install them and then apply them both (1 is for the t-mobile ThemeChooser and 1 is for go-launcher)
    • Added Maps 5.2 to ROM: UPDATE AT YOUR OWN RISK, you could lose Maps function with newer updates.
    • Hard themed the lockscreen to look ICS-ish. NOTE: Phone slide lock has a white circle around it, I know, but I kind of like it :)
    • All theme credits besides the lockscreen jog dials (me) go to sonnysekhon & boykioy

    • rotation to landscape fixed: changed the libGLES_qcom in source to build working libGLES_android.so, thanks to CS for pointing it out in his fix.
    • yes, no ring lag script is still in there ;)
    v4.0 Fixes/Changes
    • Fixed built in CM screenshot (hold power key and select in menu)
    • Updated fingerprint to 2.3.5

    • Still have home screen redraws after reboot, that so called "fix" isn't working, just use Zeps V6 script - http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=991276
