Yeah... May cause issues down the road, read up a bit here for some more general knowledge about your phone

We need to get your sdcard working and root you the proper way, root-for-me programs are often not the best way to go

And its a good thing you don't have an engineering bootloader, a PD15IMG.zip is not for your phone and would have bricked it if it worked
Be careful what you choose to flash

Well if you want you can flash the PC10IMG.zip in post 30 here
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1728208
I can't guarantee its safety as you don't have true radio s-off but others in your same boat have used it and said it works fine for them
It will wipe your os so you will have to hope you will be able to fix your sdcard. It will install 4ext recovery for you and this may be what you need to fix your issue
If it doesn't we can add a ROM to the mix and install it the same way

If you read through that its a custom PC10IMG.zip I made for someone, its not one you downloaded before ever
Better yet I'll make you a different one when I hit my PC, they only take a minute to do

Awesome news, so feel free to flash that PC10IMG.zip I linked you
fastboot flash zip PC10IMG.zip
From there see if formatting in 4ext recovery works or not, if so flash a ROM there if not well have to move. It looks like its going to be another late night so I doubt I'll hot my PC when I get home, but if the above won't work I'll have something for you soon

4ext loaded without sdcard in 40seconds

tried formatting memory card but error formatting memory card

i guess memory tray broken .... because this is new card

what my main purpose is to install curvis and i think if i push curvis.zip into /data and mount /data and install it i guess it will work

or maybe if i reboot in RUU and directly flash curvis

what you say?

I have no idea what curvis is so I can't say
A new tray is about 10$ and takes about 10 min or so to replace, something to consider anyway

Sure its for you phone? Just never heard of it is all, do try flashing a ROM made for a different phone
And unless it was made to be flashed in fastboot (as opposed to recovery) it won't work

yes the g2 has an emmc but it is not partitioned for general storage. you would need to create a new recovery to use anything here
and i dont believe any of the recoveries for the g2 support adb sideload which would be the easy way of doing this...(maybe i just found me a project!)

but if you have roms in .img format, at least the system partition you can flash in fastboot or through a PC10IMG.zip
of course developers do not create this for you so you would have to make your own.

If you want a simple way ill look into making a new recovery as i should have some time this weekend. ill get back to you if i do

If you are rooted and s-off then yes

    Ok do this.

    1. If you don't have the Java JDK installed, download and install the JDK 6: LINK
    2. If you don't have the android sdk, download and install it. Get it HERE NOTE: Must have the jdk from above installed to operate.
    3. Download the latest ClockworkMod Recovery: LINK
    4. Rename the file you just downloaded to recovery. Make sure the extension is img. So recovery.img
    5. Open up the directory where you installed the Android SDK, should be something like C:\Program Files(x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools.
    6. Inside the SDK look for a folder called platform-tools. You'll know you've found the right folder once you've found it because there will be a binary inside of it called fastboot. Place the recovery.img inside this folder.
    7. Make sure your phone is turned on and debugging is activated. Connect it to your PC via your data cable.
    8. Open a command prompt window and cd to that platform-tools folder. This command should look something like this:
    Code:
    cd C:\Program Files(x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools
Adjust that command to wherever your platform-tools folder is.
    9. Once cd'd to platform-tools, run the following command to boot your phone into bootloader:
    Code:
    adb reboot bootloader
    10. When the phone boots into bootloader, you may see something that says fastboot usb. This is good, it means your phone is ready to accept fastboot commands. If you don't see this, it just means the device is not in fastboot mode, simply highlight fastboot with the volume up or down button and then press the power button to select.
    11. Once the device is in fastboot usb mode, flash the new recovery to your phone:
    Code:
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    12. The command prompt window will say something like sending complete, success. Once this is done, reboot the device by sending this command:
    Code:
    fastboot reboot
    13. Disconnect the data cable and power off the device.
    14. Insure the sd card you want to use is inserted into the device. Boot into recovery.
    15. Go to advanced menu option.
    16. Go to partition /external_sd
    17. Select the highest value
    18. On the next window, select whatever swap value you want, 0 or 32 is fine.
    19. Select the file system format, fat32 or ext3.
    20. Wait for it to complete, reboot the device and see if the device mounts the sd finally.

tl;dr: Install the latest recovery and repartiton your sd card.

Let me know how it goes :)
    1
The PC10IMG.zip will flash fine if made correctly like an RUU in fastboot mode. Again so long as you have radio secure flags turned off. The above poster is correct to be sure you have attempted to format the SD properly as well as test others. Although I have seen issues similar to yours when the SD tray goes bad, which isn't hard to replace and can be found for about $10
I had only about an hour a hour earlier and most of that time was taken up sinking, once I get some more I will fix a few build errors and hopefully have a solution for you maybe this weekend, that is if the format won't work, and by the way I highly would recommend 4ext recovery over clockwork.
    Best of luck though!
