Hey all, I recently updated my firmware on my xperia, and I absolutely hate it. I would like to install some custom firmware, however I have not been able to find how to root it anywhere. I usually have Iphones so this is all new to me. Any tips or links you could give would be greatly appreciated :)

If you want to install a custom rom you need to unlock your bootloader, this will void your warranty.
1. Downgrade to 4.2.2 : http://xdaforums.com/xperia-z/general/stock-rom-xperia-z-c6603-10-3-1-2-67-t2512422
2. root your phone via easy rooting method :http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2327472
3. Backup your TA-Partition:
4: unlock your bootloader
5: search for a custom rom you like and follow the instructions in the specific thread

For Installing Custom ROMs U don't need to unlock ur Bootloader..

Only CM and CM based roms need Unlocked Bootloader
