There are other factors in charging speed besides the milliampage...I feel like the max input on USB has been turned down. That's the difference, by the way, between USB and Pogo-- the pogo allows more input and therefore a larger inflow of electrons.

Has anybody else's launcher been weird after 3.55? Pic attached. It's down to seven icons in the dock versus 9, and each home screen takes up the whole screen rather than having a slight margin.

Remote Update

Happened to end up somewhere with a minimally functional network connection for a little bit, and I am working to build and upload to MediaFire. I currently don't have the time/bandwidth to test, so will need people to try it out and report back to the community

Currently pushing updates to MediaFire via the following link:

http://www.mediafire.com/folder/y286s1ovd8gy6/PA-HALO

The toro, toroplus, and manta builds are up.

I have around 1MB/sec. A bit of fluctuation though.

EDIT: Finished and installed--now the Halo app keeps crashing.

EDIT: Okay stuff is better--I figured out the launcher error (dumb mistake...) But now every time I change the rows/columns, it reverts to 5x8 (I keep trying to change it to 8x5)

I noticed the same thing. I don't mind the lack of margins, but I've been scouring the options trying to figure out how to go back up to 8+1 icons in the dock and have had no luck so far.

I figured that out--touch and hold on an empty area and then click launcher settings.

I fixed everything else but now it's stuck on 5x8 instead of 8x5...ugh

EDIT: FINALLY. I got the grid. But now the lack of margins makes it so that if I drag an icon to either edge, it switches to the next page.

this whole ordeal was really frustrating. In the grid editor, it switches the rows and columns every time you change them. Even though I have 5 rows and 8 columns, the grid option says 8 rows and 5 columns. Very frustrating. And the lack of margins, or at least the option to have them thereof, makes this nearly unusable. What went wrong? Or is there an easy fix?

FINAL EDIT: okay, I think the problem is that the ”stretch home screens” feature is always on for some reason, even when unchecked. Anybody know a fix?

Use a different launcher? Apex or nova both work great. Both have margins and grids working properly

That happened to me in one of the early builds I had to wipe and do a fresh install to get it back to normal.

I figured that out--touch and hold on an empty area and then click launcher settings.

Regarding launcher:
- grid size changing rows to columns confirmed
- stretch windows not working confirmed

I'll try to fix these two issues today, thanks for the feedback :good:

Guys, I think I'm going cray cray. I can't get Halo to activate no matter what I do. I've done a fresh install. When I set it to Phablet or Phone mode it just doesn't seem to take. Same thing with setting an app like Youtube to 720. There are no changes after applying. Even after reboot, the changes that I've made are back to the original settings. What the hell am I not doing right?

I like buttered AOKP no issues u can pick your own kernel with aroma. The Franco kernel will perform the best but have awful battery can't go wrong with morfics or kts with the ROM.

Thank you! I'll give it a try as well, I'm currently with revolt aokp. Still KTManta. Do you think it might be the kernel?

No probably the rom. This rom made my tab unusable in the past. Even using a kernel that worked well with another rom.

The issue with installing non market apps is still present here on manta while halo is active (security + overlay disables install button), while this was fixed in the latest mako builds.

Yeah, thought the builds were done on the same day (judging by the file names), but manta seems to be behind even the Halo blacklisting is missing.

well technically, its not an "issue", but noone knew that was gonna happen but Google did it on purpose.
but the update the contains the patch has some weirdness with the pie menu with a few minor changes functionally. might be worth the wait.

Anyone having nfc issues?

Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD

I am. Having issues beaming from my S4 to the N10. :/

Edit: To be more specific, I CAN beam. It just takes a lot more fiddling around than it used to. Takes me like 2 minutes to get the sensor to work, and then even then, the connection gets lost almost instantly unless it remains perfectly still.

this sounds like a weak signal to the NFC chips. I've had no problem with n10 vs other devices, so my natural assumption is an issue on the s4 side.

make sure both devices NFC are at their closest points to each other and try again .

Although that would be the logical assumption, I didn't have problems with NFC until flashing PA two days ago. My S4 hasn't changed, so PA seems to be my issue unless it's just a very odd coincidence.

But if others aren't having problems with NFC, I'll certainly reflash it and see if that does the trick.

    ParanoidAndroid for AOSP 4.2.2

    Work in Progress
    • Please make sure you have backups for anything you don't want to lose.
    • Caution is advised. No promises this will not eat your device and take over your home.
    • Google apps are not official, this is a community hack, we have tested all apps but you could still encounter issues.
    • This is a preview of what is to come. we are working hard to tame 4.2, which brought significant changes and bugs.
    • Do not ask about CyanogenMod features. We will add more features as we develop version 3.x, and we have a 100% stable base.
    • If you have an issue please make sure it is repeatable, capture logcat/dmesg, etc and post to pastebin or similar.

    Installation
    • Update your recovery to the latest version. Pre 4.2 recoveries can mess up your sd card/storage. We recommend TWRP.
    • Download pa google apps: http://d-h.st/Do8 Updated 15-JUL-2013
    • Download rom: http://d-h.st/7GF Updated 19-JUL-2013
    • Follow PA on Google+ for changes and other info
    • Perform a factory reset in recovery, unless you are already on PA 2.99+
    • Flash ROM first, then gapps
    • Wipe dalvik & cache
    • Reboot and wait, first bootup can take a little time
    • Enter your Google account info, press home when you encounter the black screen
    • Please do not restore system apps, system data and Google apps. This can cause bootloops and other problems due to mismatches coming from CM to AOSP and moving from Android version 4.1.2 to 4.2

    Features
    • Hybrid engine ported, Per App DPI and Per App Layout
    • Tablet UI back from the dead
    • Per app color
    • Quicksettings -> Quicktoggles (first draft, more to follow)
    • New recents implementation
    • We fixed the aosp lag in the recents view, well, most of it
    • New SystemUI Icons that can cope with transparent bars, thanks go to John Xionidis
    • See through Lockscreen is back
    • Transparent bars + Launcher2 modified to cope with it
    • 4.2 Walls and Sounds
    • Google stock apps
    • Extended Desktop

    untitled-19kkgo.png

    PER-APP-DPI/LAYOUT
This is not tablet mode! Hybrid engine allows you to target apps individually. You get to pick their actual layouts which can tranform content drastically. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with build.prop hacks or DPI changes. We list all layouts an app brings, you choose one, its as easy as that. It does not matter if your device runs itself in Phone-, Phablet or Tablet-UI, your apps will always look as you like. On top of that you can scale apps, to fit your screen, that way you can even bring full fledged tablet apps and make them run perfectly. Nothing will break, nothing will shrink, your market will be fine. Additionally we have rewritten many parts of the android framework and fixed countless of AOSP bugs to make way for these modifications - our "tablet mode" runs better on a phone than on a real tablet, that is guaranteed.

    untitled-1jij2c.png

    PER-APP-COLOR
ParanoidAndroid's newest invention. Define apps in your regular hybrid panel. See your phone fade into the color definition of your current app, press home or go elsewhere and it fades back. Create as many combinations you like, you can even dabble with opacity. This feature is made possible by our hybrid engine, which is unique to this rom.

For those who don't know me, i'm part from PA team, I come here to Tablet community because I have excelent news. I have managed to fix theme chooser on "PA tabui" (old jellybean tabui), now we dont need to use hacks or whatever, and we have full instant theme chooser support. Paul ported quicksettings, and I also forward ported a lot of the fixes wich make tablet ui experience muuuuch better (lag fixes, freeze fixes, out of bound fixes, hw acceleration, etc). What can I say, now tabletui is epic nice again :D

    small breakthrough today,

    screenshot_2012-11-296mo45.png

took me some while but finally its working. quicktoggles portedto tabUI.
needs still some style refinements but im happy it works, some devs i have talked to even called it "impossible" before -
considering google has not only killed the UI, they have tied the toggles closesly to the phonestatusbar.
this was the most glaring issue - now we can put back all the tabUI changes we have made to stablize googles awful honeycomb code.

    btw,
we need your support! without pa there would be no tabUI for 4.2, and even if the other teams hack it, it will never reach our level because we studied it half a year now, our code ran better than anything google has ever done with. what you see right now is raw tabUI as it comes, its missing most of our patches and additions that we made in the past. please, if you can, help jon. nexus10 is such an important plattform for our work. the pledge is on your g+ channel, second post right now.
