Ruu does use fastboot and no adb if i am right

Thanks. The RUU method allowed me to gain temporary ADB access with which I downgraded hboot and gained S-OFF. However, after installing several custonm ROMs with the touch panel problem still there, I realized that it might be a hardware problem with the phone. The phone is however completely usable over PC via screencast

Hint: there are at least 2 or 3 threads in Q&A and/or General regarding replacing the digitizer - if you want to repair...
