I guess I am not doing it right..

Be Very Careful with the firmware posted below, I actually put my HTC One into QHSUSB_DLOAD Flashing this. I was able to fix it (Thanks to dexter93) but be very careful and do not flash a 3.xx.502.x firmware with the one posted below !!

http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2770684

For Completeness here's the 5.12.502.2.firmware.zip

http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358543602
MD5: 4d671edd6bcf1876c44c3798aaaebb0c

Flash with fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip 5.12.502.2.firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip 5.12.502.2.firmware.zip

I guess I am not doing this right... I followed below steps and phone goes in bootloop from home screen. My phone hboot shows 5.12.502.2. I am using openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7
All MD5 are matching.

1. Downloaded Nandroid backup from here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358543596
MD5: b01ad6da065b19c7aff36f77724a5b74
2. Extracted to PC at 'HTCOne-32GB-ATT-5.12.502.2-TWRP-stock-unrooted' and copied to /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/serialnum/HTCOne-32GB-ATT-5.12.502.2-TWRP-stock-unrooted
3. Restored the nandroid without any errors.
4. Rebooted the phone --> Got the home screen and then phone rebooted
5. I allowed the phone to reboot for 4-5 times but no luck.
6. Went to TWRP and did factory reset --> rebooted the phone and no luck.
7. Now, went to fastboot usb mode and did fastboot flash recovery 5.12.502.2.recovery.img then fastboot erase cache and fastboot reboot

I still see the same result. I am slightly confused if the 5.12.502.2.firmware.zip is needed and if so at what point it needs to be applied. I am assuming steps are
1. lock bootloader with fastboot oem lock
2. fastboot oem rebootRUU
3. fastboot flash zip 5.12.502.2.firmware.zip

You don't need the firmware or the nandroid. All you need is the guru reset. Choose install stock recovery and radio and No to root

I think Guru_Reset_M7_5.12.502.2_clsA is good then? Also, would I opt to wipe my data and flash stock radio? I believe my devices is already rooted (Checking it from adb shell and I always get # by default. I hope that is not a problem).

I thought we had been through this many times

when you use the guru reset you choose install stock recovery and radio
and No to root. when you reboot the phone in twrp say No to root.

Reboot to the bootloader choose recovery
when you get in stock recovery (tap power + hold vol up)
choose factory reset

after the reset let the phone boot ... if your still getting bootloop

flash TWRP 2.6.3.3 / fastboot erase cache / fastboot reboot-bootloader

enter TWRP choose wipe / format data / type yes
when it's done exit twrp / choose no to root / let the phone boot up

If you still have bootloop your phone is physically damaged and I have no other ideas

Thank you.. I agree we have been through this multiple times but I am baffled that if the phone is physically damaged then how can I install CyanogenMod without any issues?
On another note, I see some files in /devlog. Are those log files? Would that tell me what is going on with my phone?

It's simple .. the phone uses partitions The stock sense software uses all the partition information... CM11 may out right ignore parts of the partition system and run fine .. it doesn't make the phone any less broken

If you have the time and patience you can try this
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/2013/10/fix-data-htc-one.html

this is the partition layout of the One M7

jumping from 3.xx firmware to 6.xx

So do you recommend flashing 4.xx then 5.xx and then 6.xx firmwares alone in that order?

This will fix devices which were bricked due to firmware incompatibility. This can be caused with the way HTC handles the firmware updates in it's m7's OTAs. If you've been flashing from a 3.x firmware to a 5.x firmware via OTA, or manually, you most likely have a device stuck in QHSUSB_DLOAD. This tool is for you

One other questin guys, if I go to bootloader now, select recovery, it goes to a black screen. then a triangle with a question mark shows up. does that mean the stock recovery isn't loaded in? I used the guru reset, I thought that would put the stock recovery in.

the black screen is stock recovery
hit volume up and down and power to see the menu in stock recovery

    Worked nicely, thanks.

Edit: Also, it's very very very recommended to Factory Reset in TWRP after Restoring the Firmware. If not done right after Restore, the device may malfunction in some areas, and may (very little) lead to Bricking. I have done this before, when flashing the USA Firmware Version of HTC One's Sense 6. Had to return to Stock due to some recent news in my Data, not connecting to the AT&T Towers, and other stuff. That being said, I've done the old fastboot oem lock and relocked my bootloader, and never again will I ever flash a ROM or anything on my device. Thanks again.

    Ok thanks.

If this works this time around i will be back to stock. Should i just flash the firmwares 4.xx, 5.xx as before?

Finally after i flash the ruu.zip will i have to redo s-off?

---------- Post added at 03:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:46 PM ----------

Well the ruu.zip worked im back to 3.17
Tried to flash 4.xx firmware but still getting fail 32 header error..
Should i just flash the 4.xx zip? or should i just update via the setting on the phone??

see if you can get the OTA update or use the 4.x RUU
