Out there somewhere
Sorry one last question I forgot, I changed the filesystem to ext4 long ago. Do I need to go back to original filesysystem? I don't have the app to change it and I have to search it too now :crying:.

Yes, I would advise a clean flash to GB with Odin if I was you, then you will have a completely clean fresh instal, I will link you to my kit which contains all you need if you want, just unzip it, read the .txt file, it even has pictures!

http://db.tt/MOGZx01S

You will still need to remove ext4, but if I remember right you can do that in recovery?

I found the app and going back to RFS now. I'm downloading your kit but I don't want to deal with Odin, I'll just follow the first post :). I had problems with Odin in the past and I don't want to see it again :). Hopefully everything will be fine. Thanks a lot for the help I really appreciate it.

I have a big problem. I have done full wipe, It took less than one second and when I enter install zip from sdcard, my internal memory files were there. I rebooted the system to check whether I did it correctly it didn't boot up. I went back to recovery menu and when I choose install zip from sdcard nothing happens. Below there are lots of bad stuff; "can't mount cache/recovery/log" "can't mount sd card" etc.

Whayt should I do now?

I think you will find the answer to this and many more questions in the zen mantra...."everything just IS" and then just reach a state of calm acceptance.....there are many other more important questions in life like "why are so many people starving when there are so many fat people" etc etc

So true, and I applaud you in thinking of such important things. If I had my way, I would be feeding those people right now instead of being stuck in the office :)

That being said, this is not the charity forum or my local soup kitchen, this is XDA... and as Zen Master Seung Sahn would say, "Only don't know". I didn't know, so I asked. Now I know that it's not a bug that you'd want us to inform you of, although I don't know why it can't be easily fixed, I can continue to "only don't know" in peace. Thanks :)

PS I may take this up with XDA user Sonny Sekhon who makes themes, because I want to run his onyx theme anyway and I have a feeling that will cover it.

---------- Post added at 10:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:54 AM ----------

O for gods sake, does this REALLY matter?!

That depends who you ask. Apparently to you and the dev, No. Apparently to a far greater number of people, yes.

Is it a ROM bug? :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::screwy:

How the hell would we know, nobody has told us. That's why we're asking. Why do you have such a hard time dealing with people asking simple questions and trying to learn? Does it REALLY matter if some people ask questions?

:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::screwy:

I know you are doing a very hard job mate and we all appreciate it, try not to let it get to you so much. As an XDA member once told me, perhaps this is something that should be met with calm acceptance.

Don't you hate when people turn your own words on you? hehehe

Seems that way, which is a shame as he helped a lot of people along the way, despite being a noob assassin :D

Yeh he was like the world's most helpful a**hole. I fought with him numerous times, but I still think that banning him is a bloody joke and the mods should seriously reconsider. Of course, this is XDA and it's a complete dictatorship, so nobody is going to discuss it. That being said, I don't know if he actually did something genuinely bad this time. Mostly, he's just rude and annoying. But not actually a bad guy.

Sorry for OT... but then again, it's not really OT, with all the input he has in these forums.

If i understand you correctly then, if i change the battery in the status bar to
"text only" these are also icons like the style "icon only"?
So why it is called "text" if it is a icon??????

The only reason for my question was:
I want use a black/white theme with this rom and the battery style "text only".
But the blue ics font color from the "text only" battery style doesn't fit to a
black/white theme and so i want to change the font color.

Your reasonings are the same as mine. Never was into colours they're seasonal and age my phone. ;)

I guess it's called text because it describes what is in the icon... how the text is displayed (actual text VS images of text) is back-end stuff that the end user doesn't generally need to know about, so you don't put that in the GUI for the EU to see.... Although we aren't normal EU's, so it's good that we know now.

I don't know what's inside that zip but don't you use a PIT file when going back to GB using ODIN? If so, there's no need to reconvert partitions to RFS since the PIT does that.

    Slim ICS v2.7 - Stable
    IMPORTANT NOTE: :
Starting with 2.7 I am forming a common base for galaxy variants, so every user needs to flash the Slim_ICS_Base_2.7 and their device essentials, so a I9000 user has to flash the Slim_ICS_2.7_I9000_Essentials as well, if you don't your system won't boot. I am doing this so i can make it easier on my side and allow users of vibrant and captivate to become Slim.

    • Smaller but common base for galaxy S variant phones
    • Modded Market where paid apps work ( if it doesn't, try this, manually push it in system/app, set permissions, reboot)

    Market Workaround at 182 DPI:

    • Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.

      or
    • Change to 240 dpi, reboot, clear market cache, and verify that all apps are seen ( if you can't see any at 182 dpi), then change it to 182 dpi and don't clear cache. All apps will show up until you clear cache next time.
      or
    • Buy LCD Density Modder Pro. Easily allows to change DPI and downloads a modded multi dpi marketplace.
